Re: RC10 oval build (DONE)
That looks sick. Really like the overall look of the chassis.

Vintage Grasshopper Run
I hadn't taken the Grasshopper out in a while. Nor had I tried to charge the old hump pack I got with the G-Hopper a couple years ago. This 25 year old battery hasn't been charged in over 20 years, theres no way it can hold a charge. I hooked it up to my Novak Ionic-D to see what would happen. 40 mi...

Yeah I pretty much found everything I needed. Got a nice clean shocktower and some wheels/tires from greazy.
Thanks for the research though.

First RC10 vintage runner
It's mine now. Ordered a new body, wing, and gold screws. Cleaned the plastics up a little, will do a more detailed cleaning later, I wanna run this soon. I had some bearings to fit the bellcrank so they went in. When I removed the tranny, I noticed the chassis has an "A" stamped on it. I ...

65mm shocks for the front is what I used. Check my "Project Sand Blaster" post for a pic.

Project: Sand Blaster
I had 2 old Blackfoot and Monster Beetle chassis' laying around, neither operational, both with broken parts. So I broke them down to see what was what, salvaged the good stuff and ordered some new parts for a new project. My main interest has been scale trucks for the last couple years but I'm a bi...

Re: TA02 Datsun 240z rally car
Finally got back around to messing with this one. I painted the bumper with a $3 can of Plastikote chrome and I am impressed. It makes the diamond plate look real. Will mount lights when paint cures. http://i538.photobucket.com/albums/ff342/Simpson75/DSC03060.jpg I decided it needed a driver so I'm ...

I just might do that. I'll PM you when the trade is finalized.PBR Allstar wrote:Smoke, let me know if you want to get rid of the front lowering kit. I have a stock front tower you can have if you want to go that route.

Re: Is this RC10 worth the trouble?
Thanks for the info. I have an old set of Duratrax shocks that are identical to the Kyosho ones. Had them for 15 years and never had a use for them. These will look right on here. Think I'll go ahead with the trade now.

Re: Is this RC10 worth the trouble?
Trade for what? I would think that would clean up pretty well. You have Losi belcrank steering and Kyosho gold shocks. If you were to part those out alone, would be worth about $50-100 depending on how well they clean up. Trade for a new Clod body and some scale truck parts. Stuff In my spares I do...

Is this RC10 worth the trouble?
I've been into RC since the 80's and have never owned an RC10. Always wanted one, never got one. Now I want to restore one or at least have a nice example to run around for that vintage look and feel. A friend of mine has this one up for trade. He said he used to race it dirt oval and it has some ol...

Re: Vintage Aftermarket RC10 Hop-Ups
That 300zx body is too sweet especially on those wheels. But isn't that a 280zx? Looks like it to me.
