Re: SC430 test car
Wow ! This build really looks great!. Was it really difficult or just time consuming? Neither. I'm just lazy. I usually work through 80-90% then it sits waiting to get finished while I start on a new project. I did work on the interior a little yesterday and now am just waiting for the helmet to dr...

Re: RCCA Project Optima
These articles were awesome (in a funny kinda way). What happened to all the magic that these cars and articles used to ooze? I remember the first project Optima article hitting the news stand and I was absolutely captivated by this new creation sporting a very hot looking truck body (well it was h...

Nice linup. I wish they would start making the "super" sized touring cars again. HPI's was pretty nice back in the day too. Any body off pics?

Re: SC430 test car
Made a little more progress. Come to find I don't have any nuts for 2mm screws so I used some servo tape to hold down the winglets till I can get to the LHS. http://i538.photobucket.com/albums/ff342/Simpson75/DSC04294.jpg Might add a small decal to them. http://i538.photobucket.com/albums/ff342/Simp...

Re: SC430 test car
Painted it Tamiya brilliant blue and bright silver. I masked the windows because I hate those window stickers that Tamiya uses and since I'm using an interior. I cut the window out of the sticker and just used the trim. http://i538.photobucket.com/albums/ff342/Simpson75/DSC04285.jpg Another thing I ...

Didn't like it at the time, was going to get an NSX for the chassis. But now I wish I had kept it.[email protected] wrote:Why did you get rid of the Porsche body?

SC430 test car
Budget parking lot runner. I got this Carrera GT TB02 kit new for $40 last year and have never run it. I sold the stock Porsche body and tires for a total of $35. Snatched up a SC430 lightweight body from Tamiya for $20. Never really liked the look of the SC430 but for $20, I'll make it work. The ti...

Re: All Tamiya run
I've seen the Fox, Avant, Hotshot, Hornet, Grasshopper, and online, I saw a Buggy Champ. That's the one I'm looking for. They run pretty well but have limited range and run time. Try "micro terrain titans". That's what my box said. On the bottom of the buggy it does say Q-Steer, so I'm gue...

Re: All Tamiya run
I've never seen the micro tamiyas. Where do you get those? I am going to michael's this weekend. I have some ideas now. Thanks for the info.. Last thing where can I get pieces of styrene at? Meijer sells the micros for about $15. I also saw a commercial on TV selling them for way too much. You shou...

Re: All Tamiya run
Thanks. You can find scale stuff at dollhouse shops, online stores like RPP Hobby and TCS Crawlers. I find stuff at Michaels, Hobby Lobby and Jo Ann Fabrics in their doll house sections. Here's a better view of the Brat bed (currently).
