I'm not a chemist either, but doesn't the dirt get right back on the parts when you're on the track? ;)

Re: Ebay BIN or make best offer?

I'm not even low-balling the guy. It is a helpful feature (that I have used) so a seller doesn't have to waste time on the "I'll give ya $2.25 for your highly collectible item, but I want you to include shipping!" responses. But apparently he (or she) thinks your offer is not worthy. ;) S...

Re: Another Scale Racing Truck

Nice truck is that still in production? I want one. I don't know if Tamiya is still producing the F-150, but I have seen them in the LHS as recently as this spring. There were one or two on the wall back then, but I haven't been looking for them the last couple times I was there. We had a Slash cla...

Re: the 1:1 scale car thread

Ok, I just spent some time reading this thread and thought I'd contribute. My car is the family 1999 Buick Century- we bought it brand new in 1999 just before my daughter was born (the car seat fit better than in our 2 door Cavalier) and it was my wife's daily ride until 2005. I was getting it all c...

Re: TMS dually

That's pretty cool-- I believe I have a pair of those tires (fronts) mounted somewhere. I can't remember where they came from-- possibly a clearance bin somewhere along the way.
You bringing yours to the Nats?? Just to show that is?

Re: *** The official VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS thread ***

I would say that Hartford would be your best bet at 35 miles or so away, but I'm not sure on prices to get there & rental car prices at that airport. (Southwest does Phoenix to Hartford for mid 300s.) JFK would be a 2 hour drive, but the price differential (flight & car) may make up the diff...

Re: Another Scale Racing Truck

I took almost 20 years off from r/c and got back in 2 years ago. I couldn't believe the changes-- and that Traxxas was everywhere. To try a 'modern' buggy, I found a XL1 Rustler on eBay for less than $100 shipped. It's definitely a hearty truck-- this is my second season racing it at the local track...

Re: Racer? Modeler? Collector? Hoarder?

I would fall under the RACER category. I know I'll catch it for saying this, but they are toys-- meant to be played with. That's why my 6 gear, short-arm 10 still sees the track... I got it in 1985 to run and I still wanna play!

Eau- I never said I didn't like your opinion and I never disagreed with any of your facts, but your post most DEFINITELY showed that you care about my opinion-- and that you believed it to be incorrect and/or inappropriate. I should not have taken offense to that, but I'm having a bad day at work an...
