Re: lipo Question
I personally run those and have not had a problem. I have 2 for racing (two classes) and I run 2 5-minute quals with them and 5-minute mains, topping them off in between. I use a Superbrain 989 (which I can use for break-in and my lathe too) with the Astroflight 'blinky' for balancing. I like the fa...

Re: Another Scale Racing Truck
Depending on how well the stock CORR-style tires work (on your track) I would guess an 1/8 scale 4wd nitro version would spank the Slash. I just got home from the track and the Slash class TQ was 9 laps (5 minute races) and 1/10 mod stadium TQ's at 10 laps. 1/8 scale buggy was 11 laps and I'm guessi...

Sorry rc-stu!!
Did you check those dimensions on the rims?
(You did get a straight answer on the body though!!!)

Re: Another Scale Racing Truck
I don't know if anyone has checked on the proportions of the Slash, but it's HUGE! I've seen guys on other forums say the bodies fit on their 1/8 scale buggies. Maybe the SC8 and Slash will be similar in size, but AE actually checked their math before the release!! ![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: Non-inline steering blocks still available?
They are plastic inserts that go in the Tamiya wheel and the RC10 wheel bearing fits inside. I have a few somewhere, but to me it's akin to running plastic bearings. I've run the CRP stubs since 1986 or so without issue, so why change now! Well, maybe because I can't find any 6216 blocks.... :...

Re: Need help identifying these wheels and this body...
you should get some black vinyl to cover the windows. It will look much better than the red. Or if it's a shelfer , cut the windows and put some netting. I have to agree.... I got that body in a lot at some point (he had even punched the air holes in the front with a screwdriver I think!!). I threw...

Re: Non-inline steering blocks still available?
Then you have to change axles too. I like my CRP ones that let me run Tamiya fronts, but I can still go back to the original RC10 axles easily.call-911 wrote:Why not use the inline ones when you're all out of the others?
Can you do that with the inline ones? If so, clue me in!!

Re: Need help identifying these wheels and this body...
Those could be the correct offset to run rear tires on the front of a Hotshot (about 10mm from edge of rim to hub-- as long as the rims are 30mm wide and your hole dimensions match those given by Mr. ED). If you put original rears wheels on the front, the rims bind on the a-arms. Gisom (I believe an...

Re: Non-inline steering blocks still available?
Part number 6216 - steering blocks - are hard to find. I run them and have a couple spares but my supply is getting low! I don't know if anyone else out there has a wall full of these, but if they do I would hope they can step forward!! Edit: rcflyer1984 had some FS in another post. I ...

Somewhere squirreled away is the plastic case it came in-- $159.99 if I recall correctly!
Cool collection btw!!!

Re: Coyote 4 Wheel drive
bearrickster- If you do pick it up, think about those spares that purple listed. At $10 a set that seems like a good deal for parts to a buggy that rarely comes up. And you know that if a shop had a bunch of those on the wall it was because those bits broke!! ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

I think this is what your friend will have:
http://www.oople.com/rc/manuals/coyote/
SG Coyote- Italian company... styling cues like the Optima series but poor performance.
Cool piece of history (mid-80s) if you can get it cheap.

Re: *** The official VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS thread ***
I'm going to run vintage tires (probably CRP Dynamites- might use some Parma ones for the 4wd) only because that is what I have. I don't have any modern buggys- just stadium and 1/8 scale- so I can't justify getting 2.2s and new rubber for cars that see the light of day a few times a season. I'm loo...
