Re: XX4 with tough belts - use belt rollers or no?
If you are running stock I would think the stock slipper would be ok, it's when you run faster motors that you need the slipper to be working and that's when the steel drive plate that sends drive to the rear wheels can get quite warm even hot to the point that the rear slipper pad (dark grey one) s...

Re: XX4 with tough belts - use belt rollers or no?
I personally only ran the tough belts once and I think I ran them too loose and the rear belt was skipping, as we know the original car had them to run the black belts and I think this may have had something to do with running them a bit looser (run time was an issue back then) The new car runs belt...

Re: Cliff Letts 1990 roar winning yz10
A bit of an update Made a new chassis to look closer to the original and added some electrics, getting there slowly :) Also just asking there is a sticker on the roof of Cliffs car that reads "Power under pressure" does this mean anything to anyone as far as where I can find it or where it...

Re: Cliff Letts 1990 roar winning yz10
Hi If you click on the magazine pic with the rear bulkhead in it a few times in the bottom right corner of the article it says the rear pin was lowered for more ground clearance. How did you come up with the pattern for the rear hub carrier extension? Since it looks similar to Masamis 89 setup using...

Re: Cliff Letts 1990 roar winning yz10
How did you come up with the pattern for the rear hub carrier extension? Since it looks similar to Masamis 89 setup using the RC10 rear carriers. I would like to try the same setup. Also, OT55 hub carriers, is that Optima, mid or? I see several options on ebay, so just making sure. The pattern for ...

Re: Interesting Data Point Regarding Early Edinger Chassis
Hi there Here is my no stamp and upon looking closer at it I realised now that mine has been drilled on separate occasions the 3 holes that have been countersunk like yours have been done properly but what is hard to see is that the 2 in the centre are much different to the other 3, the 2 in the cen...

Re: Cliff Letts 1990 roar winning yz10

Who's 'repop' body did you go with and it looks like the undertray and body fit nice. Very clean, I vote to put it on monthly ride as well. The body was a Mr Lexan when he was doing them but I think oldrc might have those molds now and I selling them again? They fit together well but you will have ...

Re: Anyone run 1/8th scale buggies
I was running the hobbywing xr8 sc in mine last year with a cheapo hobby king 2400kv motor (4s over here) VERY fast with the only problem being the fan on the esc the local tracks here have a lot of huge jumps that are flat landing and I think that was killing them and then the esc would shut down d...
