Re: Special Project Codename EF209 - RC 1/12 pancar
I spend some time over the week-end to work on this bodyshell... It's not perfect yet and still requires some minor improvements... I finished the part under the bodyshell... https://i.imgur.com/itgspBk.jpeg As last time, I printed something to help the arch cut at the rear (on the front it is not n...

Re: a thread for BambuLab machines
I think I get mister Bambu's master plan. I had a discussion with my wife about the H2D... See, my wife do craft. When I bought my Silhouette Cameo 4, the target was mainly to create vinyl mask and stiickers for RC purpose... But 4 years later, I must recognize my wife uses it much more than I do. S...

Its so over. When we wake up tomorrow thats it. Wish that final vote from the moderator didnt get cast. A tiebreaker shootout would have been pretty cool. Congrats silvertriple! I'm not sure when exactly it is over... A tie would be great, your Frog is really nice... And if it is over, thanks every...

Re: a thread for BambuLab machines
The H2D is really interesting... I had a look at my use cases and current limitations faced with the X1C, and it hit all the cases, and the price remain somewhat acceptable considering what it brings to the game. I did not print a lot of multimaterial with more than 2 materials (and the max material...

Re: Special Project Codename EF209 - RC 1/12 pancar
As mentioned earlier, I have many plans for this chassis in terms of bodyshell... And by the way, if you build one chassis for you, and work out a bodyshell adaptation you are putting on makerworld, let me know so I can add a link into the dedicated pancar 1/12 collection :) I started to work on the...

Re: Special Project Codename EF209 - RC 1/12 pancar
1/12 driver is so small... I decided to cheat as I did not want to paint the face... The body is a Hunter driver body scaled 80% and the the helmet is the one I did for the Super Wheelie, scaled smaller than 80%... Not sure how much I scale it down, but it is small. https://i.imgur.com/aRhy159.jpeg ...

Re: Special Project Codename EF209 - RC 1/12 pancar
The work is not over, yet : I still need to take care of the driver and the mirrors... And as well, finish the electronics installation (not yet done on this chassis). https://i.imgur.com/DWzRC9m.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/9BF0T9C.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/9JTJbG3.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/9b04Bsq.jpeg ...

Re: Special Project Codename EF209 - RC 1/12 pancar
While I still have to deal with the foam tires, this morning the weather was good enough, so I took some time to paint the bodyshell
And yes, it won't be a Ferrari, but something else

H2D is coming... https://bambulab.com/en/h2d "Rethink Personal Manufacturing March. 25th 2025 3PM CET" With a few blured images as teasers... What is apparent from leaks : - dual nozzle with a mecanism to alternate them and two cutters (both head should be multimaterial capable) - heated c...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
Started to play a bit with Makera CAM... I decided to prepare the file to cut another pancar 1/12 chassis... This is fairly easy, as I did this already in another CAM software (Galaad) to cut one using the CNC machine at the fablab. Makera CAM is fairly intuitive, and that is easy. https://i.imgur.c...

Re: Special Project Codename EF209 - RC 1/12 pancar
3D printed tires are not ideal. I want a better solution Found some cosplay EVA foam (86 KG/m2 in density), and that may do the job. This type of foam is generally easy to find in shop specialized into cosplay, but you can find it on amazon too. From what I can see having it in my hands, it could be...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
Following the last training at the Fablab, I explored a bit more Makera CAM. Currently, the 4th axis can only be used to work in relief in Makera Cam. That's not the most usefull for my targeted applications requiring a 4th axis. The things will certainly evolve (that's what they are promising), and...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
Bambu is off my friends list, this stunt they are pulling/trying to pull is making me have second thoughts about supporting them when their new printer is released. I can definitely understand, and although I have some questions myself on this, I don't see anyone else out there packing both feature...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
I ordered a Carvera Air few hours after my last post in this thread, It was still at pre-order price (it is still the case until tomorrow), and I ordered it with a 4th axis, and a laser engraver module. This is quite a bit of money, but it will definitely open quite a lot of possibilities. As per th...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
The more it goes, the more I want to open new possibilities... I took benefit of the fablab to recently experience Laser cutting and carving, and CNC machining with a big CNC router, and I cut a few fiber glass parts for RC... https://i.imgur.com/cPphmAh.jpeg It is not as difficult to set it right a...
