Re: Electrix buggy?
The only downside I've seen with the car is the plastic motor plate, it's hard to keep the gear mesh secure. The plastic gets soft when it heats up, letting the motor move and usually results in a stripped spur gear. They are really durable besides that though.

Re: RC10 body fitment on TRX1?
An RC10 body will be a little too narrow in the front, the chassis will stick out about 1/2" on each side.
I found that Brandon g's pro-x repro body fit great.

I've just finished rebuilding my Losi 2.0E, the body is done with spray cans, pactra and tamiya.

Here's mine, Losi 8ight 2.0E Castle ESC and 2200kv motor, IP 5400 4s battery. It's pretty darn fast, and with castle's programming card I got it tuned to be drivable on the dirt.

Re: The uglyness spreads....
The company is named FTW, For The Win. I think that thing is called the night stalker or something. Anyway its just about the ugliest thing I've seen. I don't mind the whole cab forward thing on trucks or 8th scale cars, but on a 2wd buggy it just looks... umm.... like poop.

Re: Using both Pactra & Faskolor paints together
As long as the paint you laid down first is dry, you should be fine spraying pactra over the top of it. I give mine a good 24 hours to let the water fully evaporate out of the water based stuff if I'm using laquer on top of it.

Nice collection of motor tools there. It's funny you have a Thunder RC motor zapper, I race at THE Thunder RC in Nashville. The guy who produced the zapper, Michael Skeen, still races occasionally( and he's pretty darn fast). Thunder was originally opened as a place for them to match and sell batter...

Re: Short Course Trucks - "Gateway Back into Buggy Racing"
We had just as many 2wd buggies as SCT trucks last night. 2 full heats of each. The 22 has brought out a lot of old faces.

Fortunately we didn't have any damage on our house, but the neighbor right behind me lost most of his roof. I hope everyone else is doing ok after all that crazyness.

Re: New Losi 22!
On a 2wd buggy you won't notice the slightly lower torque a short servo puts out. I wouldn't be suprised if the new xcelorin stuff is announced very soon. TLR, as you know doesn't like to show their hand until things are ready to go to production. With the internet being the instant information sour...

Re: Oversized Tires on a B4.1: Pros and Cons?
Fun project, and well thought out. Get some spare wheel bearings, I ran 8th scale tires on my SC10 for a short time and the increased loads caused by the heavier tires took out bearings quickly. Especially the drive wheels, it goes without saying to check the bearings for play and smooth feel often....

Re: New Losi 22!
The motor looks like Team Orion to me, I think most of the team are running Orion until the new Excelorin stuff comes out. Losi is phasing out the old motors and speed controls before they bring out the new stuff. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_221_222/products_id/156921/n/Team...

Re: New Losi 22!
Trinity/ Team Epic is going to have a shorty pack soon also. It will probably be released under the ReVTech name though. The prototype I saw being tested was a 70c!! Ernie is feeling nostalgic and wants to bring some of his old brands back to market.
