I don't think so, but I'm not certain. Might be worth sending them an email to find out.LowClassCC wrote:3they wouldn't happen to sell then digitally on disk would they? if so that would be an option i would look into.

Re: RC Car action archive
I did. The pdfs are scans of an entire issue MINUS all full page ads; most small, partial page ads are still there. There's not a lot of compression so most of the pdfs are huge...30 megs or more. 1986 - 2003 takes up 5 gigs. Needless to say, it takes a while to download all of them, as there's no w...

Re: Anyone Have Basic Cad Skills?
I use CAD almost every day. Send me a scan or photo of a hand drawn sketch with dimensions on it and I'll make two dxf files. PM me for my email address.

Re: Preserving White Parts?
Sometimes the parts yellow under the best conditions. I've never used Aerospace 303 as UV protection, but it looks very interesting. At my job, there are a few standard practices we use when storing all our plastics. In addition to sunlight, keep the parts out of any light with a high UV component; ...

I'm in Allentown at the moment and went over to T&L this morning. It was nice to see that not much has changed in 10 years....still super-organized

Re: So what made you get into "hobby grade" rc's?
I had owned various toy grade RC cars, but they were never fast or durable enough for me. Then two of my friends, brothers, got matching Frogs in early 1986. I couldn't believe how fast and cool those cars were. So, my parents bought a Hornet with a Magnum Jr. for my 13th birthday in June 1986. I've...

You're very welcome. I always loved those articles too. I even wanted to do the heavy metal project with my Turbo Optima, but never did get to it. Maybe someday...after I do the 15 other projects I have lined up. ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

RCCA Project Optima
There were two parts to Project Optima. Part 1 was from December 1987 and Part 2 was from February 1988. Scans are attached. Re: question on dirt hawg tires on a B2 wheel
I have dirt hawgs on my standard white B2/B3 2.2 wheels (3/16" axle). They fit pretty well; just use plenty of glue

Re: I Love the 60s/70s/80s/90s and 2000s!
One thing not mentioned yet is the good old erector set! Forgot about that one! I still have that as well, but it was my father's so it's from about 1945. All metal everything (even the wheels), with nice sharp edges. Unsafe, but awesome. :D I also have my father's tether car from 1948 or so. I've ...

Re: I Love the 60s/70s/80s/90s and 2000s!
I pretty much still have all my "major" toys. Some, such as the Matchbox cars, have already been transferred to my kids and they have a blast with them. I still have: -Star Wars -Matchbox/Hot Wheels -Dukes of Hazzard -Slot Cars -Tonkas (although, I started collecting the 10" Jeeps as ...

I did some digging and my 1988 Kyosho Mini catalog shows the "One way clutch" with p/n W-0106.

Re: OPTIMA----for racing
If you decide to stay with the chain, there was a one-way front diff available with sprockets on it. I don't know the p/n, but I have it in one of my Turbo Optimas and it really changes the handling characteristics of the car.

I've got one that's currently next in line for a good cleaning/restoration.
