Re: fixing stripped holes?
As long as it's not too badly stripped, swish a generous amount of CA glue around in the hole with a toothpick or pin, wait to dry and try the screw again. In my experience, that method works most of the time. If it doesn't work, you'll need to go to a larger size screw or replace the part.

Re: what was you first car
1986 Jeep Cherokee. After 19 years, I still drive it to work everyday, although it's rusting so badly I think this is the last year I can drive it .

Re: Best Hop-Ups for Original Optima
Kyosho Gold shocks look great on an Optima, although you'll need the taller "special" shock towers that came with the Javelin, Turbo Optima, etc. A Kyosho gold Celebration Chassis Kit also adds quite a bit of bling, but be prepared to open your wallet wide. The Kyosho belt drive conversion...

Re: Report: Vintage RC10 Florida Racing
Please see the BST for the undertray info. PM me if you have any questions or are interested in buying. I'm traveling for work Monday - Thursday this week, so if anyone wants to buy one, I won't be able to ship until the end of the week.

Re: Report: Vintage RC10 Florida Racing
Glad to be of assistance Ruffy, the chassis looks awesome can't wait to see it complete. With all of these sweet vintage rc10's now on the track Mrlexan needs to come up with a lexan underside protecter so to keep all the great work looking at its best Someone was making the under trays not too lon...

Re: new rc10s junk???
As far as I know, all the AE products are manufactured and assembled in China now and some quality is not what it used to be. I have an original US version B4 and a Mexico assembled RTR T4 and the quality seems so much better than the latest B4s and T4s I've seen in the hobby shops.

Re: Anyone tried this? Yellowed parts white
I think the parts will be fine. Here is a paper on the tensile strength of nylon sutures after exposure to 3% hydrogen peroxide: http://www.utsouthwestern.edu/utsw/cda/dept28151/files/338868.html Per table 3, there was a slight reduction in the tensile strength, but it was not statistically signific...

Re: Anyone tried this? Yellowed parts white
I would suspect that 3% solution does indeed form some microscopic cracks or other damage; nylons do not get along well with oxidizers like hydrogen peroxide, bleach, acids, etc. I also suspect the damage isn't significant, however. Someone needs to do another science experiment where they whiten al...

Re: What are your Other Hobbies/Collections??
Other than RC, which I got back into 4 years ago after a nearly 15 year hiatus, my biggest hobby is collecting Three Investigators books. I even created a rather involved website about 10 years ago: http://www.tunneltwo.com I'm not that active collecting the books anymore, as I pretty much have all ...

Re: sanding lexan bodies
I've never tried scuffing for good paint adhesion; I personally don't think it's necessary as the proper paint is designed to bond to the lexan no matter if it's perfectly smooth or scuffed. I think the absolute key is to make sure the surface to be painted is very clean; no fingerprints, oils, mold...

Great video. At one point (1988?) I had a black Parma Eagle on my original RC10 as well.
