Re: My Cougar Project

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a mish mash sort of deal at this point. It has a belt drive gearbox, purple side plates, non ball bearing steering.... But I will be building it to something usable with a 13.5 in it. I have a set of bearing steering arms here, but weirdly I have lost 1 bearing ! Anyo...

Re: My Cougar Project

picked up a couple of shorty Li-Po packs as I think mounting the batteries down the centre is still the best for weight distribution. just playing about with the how and where to put everything now. The car will be brushless powered, 13.5, so I do need to find room to mount a fairly large speedo. Ti...

Re: My Cougar Project

Stu look up BUGLE on this forum. Thomas has the molds to make the lexan gear cover and he does a god job of them. He made me a few in the past. I have dropped him a PM on RCTECH also and hope to meet up with him in the near future. I'll look into having a small batch of these formed up and see abou...

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?

Has anyone ever ran an old manual speed control with a modern fast/digital servo? I'm thinking that would be a cool setup to throw in one of these kits if the mounting holes are still there. I have a Tekin 410K that might find its way into mine if and when I get it. We used to run those resistors w...

Re: My Cougar Project

hey Jason, I was hoping to hear from you. I still collect Schumacher just as much, right now I'm racing an SVR and a K1, so still a big time fan. I just wanted to build a retro racer as lots of guys where I live have been talking about building the RC-10 classic to race a spec class. something like ...

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?

If I could only find the speedo I ran in mine back then I would certainly put one in.
Maybe one of you UK guys has one?
Demon 2DH the one in the Blue heatshrink.
I also ran Demon motors, H.T. or Mr. T.
Need to find one of those too.....

Re: My Cougar Project

I'm looking at the Team Blue Groove bodies, and they also make an undertray, which I think I will pickup to save my new chassis getting too beat up ! Hehe.......I sent him my chassis to pull those undertrays. I have one on both my shueys. That's great, I was wondering how good of a fit they were, s...

Just found this thread, and wanted to say thanks for uploading the pics.
