Yeah I'm in a similar boat.... my mid life crisis is bmx, RC, and hotwheels .....

I've heard, many years ago... once you use synthetic oil your not supposed to ever use conventional oil in that motor again.... In my work truck 2012 f350... I only use motorcraft synthetic oil, and the onboard computer says to change oil at aprox 7000-7200 miles... it has 149,000 on it so far Just ...

I ordered some AE silicon differntal gear grease... when I got it it said NOT FOR STEALTH TRANSMISSION????
This was the whole reason I purchased it....
What's wrong with it? I just waited a week to rebuild the tranny..

Also be careful you don't lose the spring and spacer out of the axle shaft and outdrive before you repair it .

1st real run, broke it!
Well finally got somewhere I could run my rc10 that wasn't wet or ice, doing great in a parking lot, went in the grass then wouldn't move....? Picked it up I broke the rear axle holder and bent the shaft... any ideas who carries parts?

Can you pull the old tires off the wheels? I think they might be 2.2" wheels already. If not, your easiest source of 2.2" 1/4" axles is from jc racing in the UK. They are a direct fit, a little narrow on the front for modern wide tires but carpet tires fit just right. Beyond that, yo...

Do you have any recommendations for wheels as the rear spindles are tapered, the guys at hobbytown dont know what to use.... the hex adapters might work but 8ll have to bore them out and the the offset I find in newer wheels is real deep which would run the shocks...
