Re: Lonestar's TRX-1 build chronicles...
Some Key questions here (will update as I go and move to key learnings as I have the answers)
- What modern parts (traxxas or others) can replace the POS #1662 shock mounts please?
Thanks!

Re: Lonestar's TRX-1 build chronicles...
Some key learnings - I will keep updating that post as I go:
- AE Stealth Gear is a direct fit on the traxxas diff (and much easier to find too!)
- Flanged bearings on M3 screws give a more than OK steering assembly (on the bench at least)
- Oven cleaner is a great deanodizer!
More to come![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

10 years after - the Black Widow (TRX1) still runs ;)
Hi guys, I won't rehash the story again and again about how surprised one can be at the shape some "runners" are sold as... So I basically started rebuilding a TRX-1 from fresh parts, as I need it to compete in the last round of the vintage class in the SIORC - check it out here, for the p...

Re: sanding lexan bodies
I have never gotten good results from scuffing the inside before painting interesting... I have. I don't do ultra fancy paint jobs like the pros (3 or 4 colors with tape is plenty enough for me), but if I don't scuff the inside, the paint sticks much less... I've tried both techniques. I usually ra...

Re: Traxxas TRX-1 Keep whole or part out?
Well if it's that $130 runner you picked up, let's just say you can keep the electronics and the stuff you need, and I'll prolly buy what's left from you in one shot if the price is right ![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: Ultima Dune Buggy New Release
some kind of rb5 rehash... this is pathetic... traxxas really wrecked havoc with the slash, everyone's jumping on some kind of baja/corr bandwagon these days, and this is the lamest attempt of them all I'm afraid...

Re: Hirobo Hilux 44B - how much to sell for?
Rock'n Vega, Darryn ;) Yes, these are cool cars indeed... very modern in their 4WD conceptions (mid motor, lower a-arm + upper rod, belt driven, and the likes). Reliability was a bit of an issue I think though, plus the Optima pretty much reset the standards once, then the cat xls and yz-10, and the...

Re: Hirobo Hilux 44B - how much to sell for?
44B was the first 4WD electric RC vehicle to me. I didn't have it. but I didn't see any 1:10 4WD before 44B. 834B was released a few months later if my memory is correct can anyone tell me what was the 1st EP 4WD? Actually, that's a good one... 834B in 1984 I think, HotShot 1985... 44B's, not sure,...

NO They was taken by mister Didier "le postier" Albuisson or for the english speaker Didier "the postman" Albuisson. I didn't know he made it over there at the time... Cool info no matter what. Maybe you might want to post a couple of his cars here on the forum so other members ...

Re: 1993 Brian Kinwald Replica (last update 12/12/2009)
Yes guy's, I focus my replica on they pictures I had posted. They comes from a friend of mine, taken just after the technical inspection... The transmission in the RCCA could be another one. Brian did some of this joke sometime. In 1999 after the Finish World mains, he gaved he's car for pictures, ...

I love Rodeos ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
For info, the design of this, er... thing, has been bought by Reely now... so you can get a brand new Rodeo under the Reely name for about 100EUR. Check out Reely Kaiman on the web, that's the one.
Suspension??? bwaaaahahahahah
