Re: Where to buy a 1/8 hand reamer?
http://www.mcmaster.com Cheap, good quality, and in every different size you will ever need. I chuck mine into a tap handle or an old RC wrench handle and they are good to go. Can't build a car without them, for me. I prefer the twisted flutes instead of the straight, but that's just me. Cool thank...

Where to buy a 1/8 hand reamer?
Hi guys this might look like a stupid Q, but I was looking for some kind of an online place where I could buy a reamer to properly free up the suspension parts of some of my AE and old-school TRX builds. I looked into most of the places I usually shop from around the world, but didn't find what I wa...

Re: sanding lexan bodies
Since 1984, I have painted more Lexan than you can possibly imagine. There was a summer in the easrly 90s that I painted over 300 bodies. There was a small time where I scuffed the insides of bodies before painting (using a red 3M pad), and every single body that was done to gave poor results with ...

Re: Lonestar's TRX-1 build chronicles...
Mike, thanks for the help - they both are 1765's, ie a tad larger than the original 1665 I think. I fiddled with the shocks again these past 45 mns, and I came to something that is acceptable, although the shocks have considerable more rebound than I'd like for my modern racers. - cut some fuel tubi...

Re: Lonestar's TRX-1 build chronicles...
Argh. I hit a brickwall today.... I tried to build the shock ... but the #1765 diaphragms I have are somewhat too wide for the alum shock bodies, it's just impossible to get them done right, I've tried pretty much every method I know, including no diaphragm at all a la AE shock, with an o-ring for s...

Re: Custom Works Intimidator "in progress"
I have the booklet for the esc, once i get home i can send you a scanned copy That's cool, thanks... the Amps rating is 300A that's pretty much all what the booklet says... but I found on the tekin archive today that the other top of the line speedos of that time also were rated 300A or so... I'll ...

Re: Lonestar's TRX-1 build chronicles...
well.....if you really need to have some flexibility there, you could use some silicone tubing. I've not really seen many cars that have a ball type bushing up at the top of the shock for offroad. There is usually enough slop that you can get 5-10 degrees of freedom there. The new associated ones a...

Re: Opinion needed on charger
careful to the imax's balancing possibilities... it tends to be way off pretty often, messes up the cells after a while, so make sure you use 2S packs with access to the center port, like the orions for instance, so you can charge each cell in 1S mode individually rather than balance it and see them...
