Re: RC10 Classic Servo Saver Broken
It sheered at the hole where the bolt goes in. I thought about going that route but didn't think it would hold well enough to support the force on the turns; and also didn't think it would let the bolt move freely during the turns.

Re: RC10 Classic Servo Saver Broken
GoMachV, thanks for the response, very helpful. So I understand the 6254 and bearings part and will order those from ebay. For the steering linkage, it looks like what you are proposing is a threaded rod and ball joints. I have some the original old associated ball joints/ball cups will those work w...

RC10 Classic Servo Saver Broken
Well I took the old buggy out for a spin to show my son and ended up crashing into a steel pole and shattering the (original) left servo saver #6255. Can anyone help me with a replacement option? I see the Dhawk racing aluminum on ebay or maybe the Factory Works #1080 may be an option from another t...

Re: Advice on new RC for my kid
Well I checked around and it seems there are only a few local hobby shops and those that deal in RC Cars are only TRAXXAS dealers, so I called amain hobbies and spent and hour and a half talking with a super helpful rep on all the elements that would be fitting for an entry level setup. Thanks for t...

Re: Advice on new RC for my kid
So an interesting update for ya'll...I showed him the Traxxas Stampede and online videos. He was mild in his response, so asked him his why. He told me he really wants a buggy style car like the RC10 because he loves that style of car and the truck just isn't as 'cool-looking' and when the buggy sty...

Advice on new RC for my kid
Hi all, I'm new to the forum and stumbled onto the site because I have my original '87 model Associated RC10 (A type) that my son and I pulled out of the closet a few weeks back, bashed for a while, and lost one of the parts along the way. I quickly realized how limited the parts are for that car, a...

Re: RC 10 Stamped A #6370 Dogbone Replacement
Doug, thanks for the advice. Went the ebay route which seemed like the most optimal. I'm guessing for the spring I can pull one from a pen and cut it down if needed?

RC 10 Stamped A #6370 Dogbone Replacement
Hi all, So I pulled out my vintage 6010 model I build when I was a kid and passed it down to my 12 yo son. We went bashing for a bit and ended up losing one of the dogbones #6370 and the spring #6372 as one the the buckles came undone. I've been scouring the interwebs looking for a replacement of ea...
