Re: Startin the run what ya brung build of a Team Car
Could be worn bearings, or it could just need shims. Or there could be slack between the bearing and the wheels. However, I have never seen an axle mounted wheel run as true as a hex mounted one. Because of the design, you just can't remove all the slack without binding the bearings. All of mine ha...

Re: Startin the run what ya brung build of a Team Car
The next detail to attend to are tires. My first run with the electronics hooked up in mounted my rear tires so this is a great chance to clean them up and remount them. 3970E24C-E57E-4E15-8C3A-44379E9EF5B7.jpeg With the tires off I am noticing some play in the front hubs. 522E1679-9142-4B8A-B837-63...

Re: Startin the run what ya brung build of a Team Car
It’s down to details. Wiring I am trying to best figure out how I want to set up the electronics and tame this wire mess. 7B2AFB74-6752-4B7B-A17D-EDA7B7A70094.jpeg I had the battery transverse at first but that was making it to hard to place the equipment. I’ll have to look for inspiration around th...

Re: RC10 with graphite frame, which model is it?
Hi everyone :) , I have added this Associated history piece to my collection and would like some clarification from you. Which model exactly is it? Which year? In your experience, are they all original parts? Overall, do you consider it a nice model to collect? I would like your opinion. Thank you ...

Re: Where are cars made (Losi)
Wow, Sounds like only Tamiya makes off road cars substantially outside of China. That's a bummer. I'm even happy to get things manufactured in Taiwan.
I don't buy things frequently so I like to local manufacturing, but it sounds like everyone is on the same level. Thanks for the information.

I got this thing
All in all in good shape. I’ll want to find the right body for this. I saw someone else with one of these a few years back. The car is in moderate condition,, but the transmission needs a rebuild.- Wed Jun 09, 2021 4:31 pm

Re: Orangemazda’s RC10CE 1.5 build
That is a really cool result. It looks like a factory issue.
What paint did you use for the chassis?
I'm not at all familiar with the b2. Is the front end a b1 or a b2? Is the chassis metal or plastic? Is the rear bulkhead the same width as the b1?

Re: Where are cars made (Losi)
Most of an rc car can be made in most places, but the specific machining for things like driveshafts and shocks require certain manufacturing or technology. Don't think that the Chinese are incapable of manufacturing and machining at higher quality levels. Most turn to them for cheaper products and...

Re: Where are cars made (Losi)
Duckhead, Thanks for that thorough listing. I had been going off older listings. I have a preference order of country of manufacture. It's interesting to see things made outside of an industry cluster. Most of an rc car can be made in most places, but the specific machining for things like driveshaf...

Re: Startin the run what ya brung build of a Team Car
This fixed up the bind I was having in my suspension travel. The stock nylon spacers were just a bit to thin and the dogbones were getting pushed just a little to far out of the axels. This seems to be just about right. I noticed that the shock tower wasn't flush to the bulkhead. I went to tighten i...

Re: Startin the run what ya brung build of a Team Car
So the thrust bearing was a problem. I fixed the problem the very old school way. I added extra e-clips the axel until everything fit. I the. Sliced the dog bone springs in half and replaced the nylon spacers with red shock o-rings. As well I switched from the long wheelbase rear arm mount to the ma...

Re: The many gear covers of the RC10's (RC10 - RC10T3)
has anyone posted a thread like this, where all known gear covers have been "covered" from the 1st generation rc10 to the rc10t3? for the hydra drive, visco drive, and other transmissions or clutches, from ae, losi, shumacher, parma, hyper drive, a&l, etc... The cross link to some cov...

Re: RC10 B4 vs RB10
I don't understand the NanoSport cars. Seem like something made by New Bright. Remember that Associated is just a sticker on a Thunder Tiger box. The Associated line is just another opportunity to add sales channels to their existing brands. Now the advantage of that could be for when an Associated...

Re: RC10 B4 vs RB10
Am I thinking about this wrong? That actually sounds pretty good. No, not at all, I didn't mean it to come across that way if it did 8) If you are not looking for the 'latest and greatest' to run on a modern high grip track then this is a great option. Plus there is plenty of part support for it. j...
