Re: Startin the run what ya brung build of a Team Car
So the shake down runs have shaken some things loose. While the new chassis protect is great it’s not invincible. I have a few dirt to cement transition in my yard and it eating though the nose protector. 6B40943F-AAC6-4524-A876-33D9A23DD2EE.jpeg I sort of expect this given but is there a protector ...

Re: Startin the run what ya brung build of a Team Car
The next big upgrade was to making the gearing much more proper. I went from the avid triad stock spur gear of 72 out to a 84 tooth spur. Along with the corresponding pinion gear. I am having trouble setting the gear mesh with my brushless motor. It seems ever so slightly bigger than the 540 brushes...

Re: Startin the run what ya brung build of a Team Car
The car is running which means the posts are less frequent. I picked up some $1 avid bearing to try in the front wheels but the big advancements were tire glue and bands 22BAB72A-A795-44E0-83A9-8D4B9B46CF44.jpeg Once the brushless was installed the tires blew right off the old glue. I saw the new wa...

Re: Robb's Generic AE Decal Sheets
Added a RC10 sponsor sheet based on the sheets I had sitting around. Please forward me any other sponsor logos from the 80s and 90s and I will add them. All of these logos have been worked with at the pixel level ..... not made perfect at the pixel level, but worked with. :D The detail on these is ...

Re: Piecing together CVD's for the 10t
the parts are out there, but you will pay a premium as far as mip bones. just have to keep your eyes peeled on ebay and the like. as for the spacers, they are hard to find I believe, but if you talk to Jeff at Factory Works (GomachV), I think he offers something that is similar and would work for y...

Piecing together CVD's for the 10t
Hey all as part of my VanAir build I am working on getting things as correct as I can. What MIP bones are the same length as the as what is needed for the 10T? Did the t2/t3/GT have MIP bones of the correct length? The original car had a MIP® #1301 Aluminum CVD Kit and used #9608B wheel spacers. I a...

Re: McMaster-Carr order substitutions for assocaited parts
McMaster far outweighs paying 4 bucks for 10 orings when you can get 100 for 3 bucks. Same for most of those parts. When you have 10 cars to build buying small packets adds up really quickly. I've done the math plenty of times. Maybe your location causes problems with shipping and pricing? I get pa...

McMaster-Carr order substitutions for assocaited parts
hey for all of you who have done this before can you help me see if I have the right substations for this order in McMaster Carr The one I am least sure of is the carbon steel shim in place of a diff drive ring. I am also trying to figure out the right spacers to go between the o-rings in the shocks...

Re: Turnigy Trackstar 80A Runaway
What you probably need is lipo battery power to cure the brown out and turn the wick down on punch . Rats. I was hoping I could keep squeaking by with trickle charging on my old Pro-Tech 706. The glitch buster will help momentarily its not a cure but it will help bigtime...................... My vi...

Re: Can you fit Clod Buster Wheels/Tyres to Blackfoot?
Bitd I took a pair of tamiya mount foam on road tires and stuck my clod tires right over them. They friction fit just great and ran for almost a whole 1200 mah pack before the splines on the drive shafts became smooth.
I do not recommend clod tires on a vintage Blackfoot.

Chris VanAir 2016 inspired build
My builds are going out of sequence. My 6 yo kid had enough fun with my team at build and asked to build a truck. I just happened to have the parts from an eBay find washed and hydrated. I was going to finish my team car first but, I wanted to jump in while the iron was hot. I was expecting the firs...

Re: What is this servo connector and where can I get a new one
the tekin hotwire sometimes comes with a small adapter that looks really close to this, I guess to connect to some of their esc's without disconnecting from the receiver: https://www.ebay.com/itm/254022752011?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=25402...

Re: What is this servo connector and where can I get a new one
The small connector pictured is the connector to match the pins Novak use on the ESC, whilst the larger connector is a standard radio receiver connector. Looks from the image like your small connector is fine, so should just be a matter of splicing / soldering on another receiver connector / lead. ...

What is this servo connector and where can I get a new one
I have a Novak gtb2 esc. It has a non standard connector on it I am trying to find 66F1D0FB-7201-4B38-86C3-0DF8AE337C83.jpeg The larger connector is a standard connector. The other connector is what the manual calls it a mini jst connector but apparently that is fairly generic name and internet sear...
