Originally i heard they were thinking similar tires would be used on the Outdoor track as the indoor. I hope to go out there in a week or two to race on that Outdoor track and I'll let you know. :)

Re: 2017 Vintage Off-Road Nationals - R/C Excitement, Inc. Fitchburg, MA - September 15-17

I think it's fair if the brushless esc's ran in Blinky mode, but Erich won't make it mandatory. So if you actually want do well, don't show up with a 27t. Hah. I just have my Hobbywing 17.5 combos. But I could get out the old Novak or Tekin ESC and my 2400 NiCds with a nice Green Machine 2... I hav...

Just a thought... is it fair to mix LiPo/Brushless vs. Brushed/NiCd-NiMH? Seems like who wouldn't run Lipo/Brushless? But I'd love to race a car in each if there were two classes.

Re: Mat's World's ReRe - Build #2 - RaceReady

pretty much setup for a full-size front to back or a shorty side-to-side as the two options.

I was going to look at making something up for myself that was a little more adjustable. Right now I just want to get it ready for the track! :)

Re: Mat's World's ReRe - Build #2 - RaceReady

Made some good progress... Some misc build notes... RPM Rear Arms require longer inner hinge pins, and I wanted to use the Lunsford titanium ones I had so I kept stock Rear Arms RPM Front Arms use ball pivots, not the pivot mounts used by the worlds, so we're using stock front arms [*}Also why I did...

Here's a video of a hot lap for the TLR guys at the new Outdoor layout:

So w/ respect to after market chassis for an RC10... are any allowed? Like say a CompositeCraft from back in the day?

Re: 2017 Vintage Off-Road Nationals - R/C Excitement, Inc. Fitchburg, MA - September 15-17

They had the TLR cup race a week or so ago. The track looked so fun. The indoor dirt was fun too when I went. I hope too get my SSC10 track tested very soon.

I guess I'll need to figure if the SSC10 would be allowed. ReRe too. Or I'll have to build one from the Rubbermaid-o-RC10 stuff.

It saves me 2 hours each way... Lol. It is a awesome facility though. I'm hoping to get out to the outdoor track in the next few weeks.

I'm looking forward to meeting a few folks in person. ;)

Re: Worlds rerelease CVAs on a CE

I'll need to remember this too. We should have like a "how to" forum where the main post is how to do something like this and people can give feedback and we can keep up to date how to posts pinned fur the useful stuff.

Re: Mat's World's ReRe - Build #2 - RaceReady

I also have a small stash of stock AE nose and wing tubes ... I strip and anodize them various colors. Tons of bent nose tubes I use for practice anodizing. Pretty easy for me to do. Plus I have the tube stock I've cut to make NEW wing tubes. Haven't made new nose tubes cause it's tough to drill tha...

Re: Mat's World's ReRe - Build #2 - RaceReady

if you have a lathe, it's not a problem at all. look for k&s tubing 83060, it's 3/16" tubing with an ID that is tappable to a #4 screw. I use it for wing tubes, nose brace tubes, etc. same stuff associated basically used. YUP! That sound like exactly what I got. Totally jealous of your lat...
