It's funny you mention that. I saw that the other day on a car somewhere (ebay or FB). I don't ever recall seeing it being done back in the day I was racing RC10s... but who knows.

Re: Any Good Radios Out There??

I raced again this Sunday... Yeah, the GT3C worked well for me. Of course other than model memory w/ Trim and endpoint adjustments I haven't used all the other settings. Weight is definitely part of it for me anyways... no need for a next strap with the modern radios. :)

Re: Any Good Radios Out There??

I bought a simple FlySky GT-3C radio for like $50. It was my first "modern" wireless radio and I didn't want to go too crazy. Coming from using my Airtronics 3PS and M8, the radio seemed to have a lot of configuration options. I use it with my RC10, B6D and SC10.2. Raced both the B6D and S...

Wow. Impressive. If you machine any cool aluminum bits, I'd love to anodize them. :)

That's my boat... 41 and my girl turns 3 this summer. Definite "oops", but wouldn't change a thing. I wouldn't mind another, but I think I'll have to settle on a dog... Lol

Re: Mat's World's ReRe - Build #2 - RaceReady

I have a Xerun 17.5 combo to use. Yeah, I'd have to do something if I wanted to "black" the wires. I may use some black wire-wrap instead for now. When I wire some of my stuff, I have some heavy duty 12g marine wire that I've liked so far. I also found some high quality wire yesterday from...

Re: Mat's World's ReRe - Build #2 - RaceReady

So I got the White World's car wheels in... Took to the dye again and came out nice and black. DyedWheels.JPG They were a little too shiny for my liking and showed the imperfections. I took some 1500 grit sand paper and scuffed them up for a matte finish. Mounted them up and I'm liking the look so f...

Re: Is white Kydex Dye-able?

I tossed a small piece of white kydex in when I was dying my wheels black. It worked. Didn't see signs of any deformation, but it was a very small piece sitting in the bottom of the basket.

Re: Factory Works/A&L C2 build...

Looking good.

Another trick I saw was someone who tapped the wing tubes, then took a thin/long flat piece of fiberglass and mounted body mounts to that and screwed it into the wing tubes.
