Re: Silver Can Gearing
Thanks Fred, I have a stash of a few 4 hole 540's that I have been using in a spec mini copper class when we race indoors, and I was certainly planning on using one. I break all my stock brushed motors in water (tamiya, slash, etc) so I know that trick too. As far as I knew those 4 hole motors were ...

This one has a smaller footprint due to the lower capacity, might be better.

The problem is that I wanted to run saddle packs under a Cat XLS body, which isn't exactly roomy.
For $28 bucks, you will be happy you spent it!!!

Silver Can Gearing
I am prepping a Losi JRX Pro with the XX Retrofit trans for a vintage class at my local track. We are allowed to run period correct tires with a tamiya 540 silver can. So with my 2.19:1 trans & stock Losi tires on the yellow dish wheels, what can I expect to gear this thing at for a track that h...

Re: 1984 Fever!!
 Seemed more fitting than Juliana Theory, or Sunny Day Real Estate- I hate to be the one to derail this topic, since there are others here much better at it than I, but it is quite amazing that even though we all congregate here due to vintage RC, a lot of our other interest are comm...

Salt killing a Toyota? Never  No digi dash, and I am thankful for that as they had a bunch of problems. Depeche Mode? Hmmmmm, maybe a modern version like The Get Up Kids or the Postal Service   17, not I! but 7 year olds rarely get new cars  The fact that you even suggeste...

Re: Northern NJ Vintage Race (DirtRunners R/C)
Hello Fellas, I did not realize when I shared this event that the vintage race is in addition to a normal race day at our track. Feel free to bring your modern rides if they fit into any of the outdoor classes on www.dirtrunners.com It's probably best to view this seasons results to see what classes...

Re: What's your favorite way to bash?
When I bash I do it with my TMAXX. For the ridiculous price I got it for a few years ago, it has been the most fun for the money I have spent on RC. When I take it out its full throttle until it breaks or I am bored!

Re: Northern NJ Vintage Race (DirtRunners R/C)
It's going to be reasonably relaxed except the motor / batteries / tires. I have a Pro SE that I am going to run and I am bringing my lunchbox for shiggles. It doesn't hurt to email for clarification on your specific cars.
