Traxxas

So I got this traxxas hawk from my friend as a box of parts. I didn't even know if all of it was there. I started doing some searching on the 'bay and only got 3 results for traxxas hawk. I won a small lot of parts for $7.50 and was able to build this out of everything I had. I am not really sure wh...

Finally!!! My RC10 almost completed!

So today I set up a table with all my RC10 parts I have accumulated over the past month or so and finally started a build. I had mentioned here on my first post (on the forum) I found the original RC10 I had as a kid, unfortunately this car was in disrepair. I fell into the restore blackhole everyon...

Re: Why me? (another ebay scam????????)

This name rung a bell but unfortunately, i can only say good things from my experience with them. I won a 6 gear tranny from this seller on Oct. 7th and it was shipped promptly and everything went smoothly. Sorry to hear of your troubles.

Re: Lexan molding tips and things

Nitro Clean is what I use to clean all my nitro engines. It is readily available at any LHS and cuts thru nitro gunk with relative ease. I recently got a NitroDS with an OS .12 CV that was locked up solid from build-up. A quick disassembly and thorough cleaning with Nitro Clean had then engine screa...

Re: Need some Assitance.

Another note. If tracing anything AE that is old the font for that text is machine, that will save you quite a bit of time. I always exhaust all options trying to find the correct font before having to take the plunge to draw text. In other words redrawing text sucks.

Re: Need some Assitance.

The author refers to the nodes as "Points And Control Handles" just so you can understand my terminology to theirs.

Re: Need some Assitance.

well you pretty much just need to learn to use the pen tool in illustrator. You point and click the tool to make adjustable nodes. You can make nodes that creat curves or ones that continue a straight line. Once you are completed drawing the nodes, you can idividuall adjust each one to perfect yuor ...

Re: Need some Assitance.

Automatic vectoirzation capabilities in illustrator didn't arrive until CS. Previously you needed plug-ins to accomplish it or draw it by hand. I tend to draw everything by hand as I can control exactly what I want and get all the little subtle details automatic vectorization loses. Here is a compar...

Re: Need some Assitance.

Mike,

I end up doing most of the vectorizing by hand. It just comes with the territory when customers bring something they "designed" themselves. Once I get them done I will PM u.

Re: Need some Assitance.

Absolutely Perfect.

Let me know if you want a set and I will send them your way. I can do them die-cut in pretty much any color or size, or do them reverse cut in paint mask if you wanted to use them for body painting. You supply the size color and option you would like
