Re: Introduction & sharing my new acquisitions: RC10, RC12L,

First off, welcome to the forums! Those are some nice finds you have there and will clean up well. I, and pretty much everyone here can attest to the combination of beer, nostalgia and late night eBay  Secondly, that was the first thing that caught my eye about your RC10 as well... I assume...

Re: Championship Edition Owners!

I snapped a few shots real quick of my 6016 CE kit and posted them here: https://duckhead.smugmug.com/RC/RC10Talk/ and also included a few shots in the thread. Let me know if there is something more specific you want. https://photos.smugmug.com/RC/RC10Talk/i-NRkHhJf/0/M/DSC00399-L.jpg https://photos...

Good to know Jeff, thanks! I think my post was back from July so it's been awhile. I just didn't want to re-spam it to the B/S/T section 8)

B/S/T Thread Aging...

Do B/S/T postings age out? Just curious as I had a post that appears to have either aged out or was deleted.

The "Basic B/S/T Rules" sticky doesn't mention anything about it, so I was curious.

Thanks :D

Re: RC10 Edinger Fire Rescue

Got the car back from Anthony yesterday. It looks great. I just tidied up the wiring and put new AE connectors on the wires. I also put in an Edinger stock motor, as the mod Reedy was melted. I am still looking for a clear Edinger gear cover, eom or copy. Also need Good Year Rears. Final build pics...

Re: Where Do You Charge Your Lipos ?

You can de-puff packs by throwing them in the freezer. I have two in there right now waiting for disposal. These are PtoTek batteries, the only brand I've ever had puffing issues with. As for charging, nothing fancy, just check on them every so often, and never leave the house while they are chargi...

Re: Anyone picking up a B64D?

I definitely will be, now that I am racing again. I like my B44.3, but it will be nice to only have to carry metric tools with me to the track

Re: midwest vintage racers @ Leisure Hours Fall Classic Joli

Just got back from the race track, I went up there to watch a few heats...

It's cool that they added a vintage class, but a shame that it basically was a "Re-re Worlds Class" versus a true vintage class.

Might have to bring some creativity to the next one 8)

Re: Anyone tried this? Yellowed parts white

Here's the big secret revealed: Don't use any caustic degreasers. Boil the parts in a 75% distilled water and 25% bleach solution for 10 minutes. Immediately shock in ice water with salt (salt lowers the melting point and gets the water below 32-degrees). Repeat 1-2 times. I did a batch of white RP...

Re: Who dunnit?

Any chance that car (body) came from Illinois? The airbrush style looks similar to work done by Phil Sroka. Phil also had some work featured in early RCCA magazines. I'll see if I can dig up some pictures.

Re: Early 1988 racer build thread

Are two build threads in one day allowed? Here is a build thread for a early 1988 racer, think pre andys wide arms. It is loosely based on my own car at that time. Most parts are vintage, with the exception of the front tower which is rere. The rear bulkhead is vintage but incorrect since it is a n...
