Re: Front hex conversion using old broken stub axles
With the dogbone cup removed, it would basically look like a 3/16 version of a Traxxas axle. FWIW, Traxxas vehicles don't use crush tubes on the axles. You just can't run the endplay as tight. Also, the bearings on a Traxxas (5X11X4) are much more substantial. I just realized this morning that 3/16...

Re: Front hex conversion using old broken stub axles
Can you elaborate a little more or show me a completed assembly, I think your onto something major bud............... You can just cut off the ball/cup end of the stub axle so it can rotate in the front assembly freely. You can use an old stub axle in an old rear hub, or use it in a new SC10 front ...

Front hex conversion using old broken stub axles
It dawned upon me not long ago that rear hubs are the same as front bearing T4/SC10 hubs. So you can use any 3/16 rear stub axle (CVD or Bone stub axle) to convert to front hex. Just hack off the bone cup or ball joint. You can finally use those chewed up rear stub axles. Enjoy. 🤘 CE947F33-2BC2-4A5D...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - April 2021 ** Winner - TheDiamondOne
I don’t think I’ve ever submitted a build. Here is my most recent one. A RC10GT2 I converted to a SC10GT-e I built my own chassis out of 1/8” 7075 aluminum. It’s lengthened 43mm, converted to electric, converted to hex, RPM front sc10 bumper, rear SC10GT bumper, prosc10 nerf bars, factory team chass...

Re: RC10GT2 + MAMBA MONSTER X + 2650Kv Castle 1512
Great build! I was just talking with a buddy at work about doing something similar as I happened into a castle setup, and he has an old truck... I was entertaining the idea to make a custom pan with a long wheelbase, but I'm not sure the drivetrain will take many aggressive launches... I have recen...

Wish I could drive my RCs again....
Wish I could work on my speed project, or any project. It's amazing how fast life changes with a kid. Enjoy your time with your toys, I wouldn't change it for anything though.

Re: Kyosho Beetle build
madman, I had seen 2 very much complete that went for around $100, very builtroppf simple design and every thing works in perfect harmony to each other, and very functional. I like the simple and unique design, I'd take this over the tamiya hilux or blazer as preference. I am just trying to add som...
