Re: 25 YEARS OF THE RC10 (See page 1)

The world is saved! Lol I've been working on a complete collection for years and this thread certainly helps. What's funny is that I've found gold pans are dime a dozen because everyone who finds one in the attic equates metal chassis and dirt with old and very valuable.... The RTR versions of the B...

Re: 25 YEARS OF THE RC10 (See page 1)

Ha! Go figure, I use this post as a reference tool and I suddenly noticed all the pictures were gone. My heart sank and the skies turned grey. Lol. Glad to see you're working on it. It's a thankless job but please know YOU ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED and this thread is easily the best one anywhere for h...

Re: RC10B4 and RC10B4.1 differences. Always something to lea

Hey Jon, thanks. I have a B4 Factory Team, a B4 Team Car, and an RC10B4.1 Factory Team in front of me. I think you guys are exactly right. The only real difference between them are the bleeder caps. I don't know where I got the molding mark idea from....must have read it somewhere. That may have som...

Re: RC10B4 and RC10B4.1 differences. Always something to lea

Yellow D, as far as I know, that is correct. Makes them easy to spot. Determining the difference between the B4 and non World's B4.1 has proven much more difficult. I picked up a clean as advertised, B4.1 Factory Team tonight so I'll be able to look more closely soon. To be honest, looking at the tw...

Re: RC10B4 and RC10B4.1 differences. Always something to lea

Hello Mk, yeah I've studied the crcap out of every piece of documentation I can find. I've got a B4 Factory Team I just restored and a B4.2 Factory Team I'm working on. The B4.1 seems easy to find but I've already come across a few that were listed as B4.1's but turned out to be B4's after I questio...

RC10B4 and RC10B4.1 differences. Always something to learn.

In my quest to complete my RC10 collection, I'm always looking at cars on Ebay, Craigslist and others looking for those rare, missing models. Most are pretty easy to identify in pictures. For example, it took me some time to fully understand the differences between the RC10 Graphite early and late, ...

Re: Interesting observation while racing older RC10's

The subject of are certain cars faster in the hands of certain people has come up in my mind quite a bit lately. Some people just seem to have a certain "preference" for the way a certain car "feels". I really can't seem to lock it down. I've watched people. especially on forums,...

Re: Interesting observation while racing older RC10's

The only issue I have with racing an RC10 in a modified class against modern buggies is being limited by a lack of set up options. This makes you have to push the car harder which in turn makes it less forgiving. That's definitely something I've considered. Though at this point in my driving/experi...

Re: Interesting observation while racing older RC10's

Maybe in the case of the RC-10, improved isnt the correct word. Updated may be a better word. Updated it with new technology because, thats the norm nowadays. I believe, again, just my opinion, that if you put well set-up RC-10s in the factory guys hands, they will still be competitive! Factory guy...

Interesting observation while racing older RC10's

Hello everyone, I was sitting here today wishing I could be at the track (it's raining) and reflecting on some of the things I've learned over the past few months; with my return to racing after a 20+ year break. I usually discuss within my post's issues or lessons learned and the like. As anyone wh...

Re: School me on the stealth #6560

Rc: Thanks, I'll double check that. I was surprised as well. I've had an apparently very "non typical" experience with quite a few things over the last few weeks. I'm just happy that all my cars are now working perfectly and I'm able to race again. The cost so far has been really high. I t...

Re: School me on the stealth #6560

Looking at it more carefully, yes, there is a little cap that does in fact pop off on this case. Thus allowing me to disassemble the slipper assembly and switch it around myself. It was not very obvious and was even missed by a few other people. It looks moulded as one piece. So I stand slightly cor...

Re: School me on the stealth #6560

OK....here is how the story ends. Well kind of. So I get a box in the mail yesterday and it has Associated packing tape on it. Great! They sent me a built and "certified" Stealth to finally install in my old Championship car. Good thing too, because I'm getting tired of rebuilding the old ...

Re: Track is eating front A arms along with E clips RC10 CE

Ok, track day complete. One gouge on the nose plate from an invisible rock but NO SCRAPING at all! The front didn't drag one bit. My front ride height was 25mm. Silver springs with 6mm pre load. SCR8P's eagle eyed reply led me to the solution. The car ran really good considering the track conditions...

Re: Track is eating front A arms along with E clips RC10 CE

Jason: I've got a brand new set of the wide front arms for the car in it's box. I've been running the black one's for no other reason than they are replaceable. I guess the strength upgrade is a good by-product. :) YellowD: I'm with ya bud. I don't run stuff like that either. That was the result of ...
