Re: VAE's 91 Stealth build

Couldn't you just install one of those aluminum plates with the two holes to connect the hinge pins up front? Sure you'd need longer pins, and have to find the right hinge plate, but that would solve your problems. If nobody makes one that fits the width you need (including other manufacturers), you...

Re: YellowDatsun's lucky find of the century.

Not sure why my pics are coming out so crappy. But anyways, the gold pan cleaned up quite nicely. Aside from cleaning off the dirt, debris, velcro, tape, and other junk, I'll be keeping the chassis in "last raced" condition. So I'll keep the old speed control, and clean up the old motor an...

Re: YellowDatsun's lucky find of the century.

The black ball joints were never oem. Are we sure on this? They are indeed on the box pictures. It was talked about in this thread: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=11914 So that brings up another question.........should I restore the car to what was actually sent out, or box art? I...

Re: YellowDatsun's lucky find of the century.

Why the buggy wheels and tires on a truck chassis? Because I've always thought the trucks looked really stupid with the wheels so far outside the body. Hence why I love my Traxxas Slash. Reading another thread, I just realized that my car was earlier than I had thought. It has the black heim joint ...

Re: YellowDatsun's lucky find of the century.

Been doing some work on the black chassis over the past couple days. Put on Ti turnbuckles, RPM front A-arms, a metal gear servo, and got a plethora of blue anodized hardware. I also cut the rear bulkhead to match the re-re unit, so it now fits Lipo packs. I had to drill two new holes for the forwar...

YellowDatsun's lucky find of the century.

20 some years ago I used to race an RC10, with an Airtronics XL2P radio. I ended up taking a 20 year hiatus from RC cars until 2 years ago, when I bought a 4x4 LCG Slash. When I bought the Slash, I saw that the RC10 Worlds car had been re-released. I was completely unaware until that point. So for t...
