Re: I need help on my Losi JRX2

Andy has been painting up JRX2 bodies and I was lucky enough score a couple. I trimmed this one up to fit the flea market chassis. It was tricky to cut a painted body. I used the stock body as an over lay to mark the trim lines. http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg131/shodog1/Losi%20JRX2/5B478902-C...

Re: Might be the coolest vintage video ever!

This video is super cool, I’ve watched it several times also. I have a Hilux and watching the video makes me want even more. With all the emphasis on STEM education I wish Tamiya or Traxxas would start advertising on the kids channels. Get a new generation enthusiastic about R/C http://i247.photobuc...

Re: Just purchased two NOS RC10s

You stumbled onto an excellent find. In the end you’ll regret running either of them. There is plenty of used chassis out there for fairly cheap you could run. If they were mine I’d rebuild them using the techniques discussed in the forums

Re: Getting super glue off Carbon?

I concur with the previous posters on using acetone. A trick I found is to use small strips of cloth moistened with acetone. Don’t oversoak it and the cloth will keep the acetone localized through surface tension. A stronger concentration than fuming and keeps the acetone off of places you don’t wan...

Re: Car Care Products

Changing out the carpet is a huge undertaking. Some of the aftermarket carpet kits don’t fit all that well. Thoroughly scrubbing the existing carpets with Dawn dish soap and using a wet dry vac to suck up all the yuck will make it look 100% better. Then get a custom fit set of all weather mats to co...

The front shocks on the frog and rear shocks on the grasshopper are from You-G. Front shocks on the grasshopper look like the CRP kit

Re: What did you get for Christmas rc or not

My Bathroom remodel has been my Xmas gift. Started out with rotten floor under the toilet. Once into it, I found more rot which required a lot of dry wall replacement. I decided to rip out the lame tiny tub and put in a giant soaking tub. I’m $10k into the project and i still have more to do but it’...

Re: Do you have a defender?

The TRX4 is a great truck but there are a bunch of others just as good and better. My SCX10ii is way more nimble. The TRX4 is way better than the RC4WD Gelande http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg131/shodog1/Traxxas%20TRX-4/836E0D4B-BF70-4FAB-B508-00528925FD5E_zps337tjqzg.jpg http://i247.photobucke...

Re: Do you have a defender?

I’ve had my TRX-4 for a while now. The chassis has been solid. I haven’t broke anything yet. The servos and esc are junk. The servo for shifting between high and low stripped it’s gears. So did the replacement. Plastic steering horn splines stripped. After installing an aluminum servo horn then the ...
