My dom bones are gold as well, but my SRP-1 are natural. What are you going to do for wheels and tires and shell?

in 1989 or so, Brian Langraff came to race in Texas, We would watch as he completely went through every single bearing, taking out the shields, and cleaning them. Then he rebuilt all 4 shocks with new oil and seals. Checking the chain stretch and steering and drive parts. Soldering batteries and motor leads. Tons of little details. And this was on a track that was like concrete with no dust at all. He spent about 1 to 2 hours on the car after every 4 minute run. (even practice)
The coolest thing to see was when they would clip the inside wall on every lap, and wear a hole through the left front of the body, but not a single scratch anywhere else. Lots of them would shear off one of the wheels and never slow down and finish the race on three wheels. What a site! I think that the only time that they failed to finish was when the battery fell out because they were just held in by velcro. I asked them why they did that and they told me that the battery flying out took some energy out of a bad wreck. Makes sense since they rarely broke anything.

As usual this forum comes through big time with help I got from generous members, but Custom Works has been frustrating. I need a few more things to complete this but have not received follow-ups from vendors who sell Custom Works parts or Custom Works themselves when I've called. I had a nice chat with CW over 2 weeks ago about the parts I needed, and the guy said he'd check to be sure they had them even though they're listed on the older models parts section of their website. No reply. I've called and left 2 messages, and stalked them a bit on the phone and now no one answers the phone anymore during business hours.

The quest continues, but I'm still in need of a new motor mount, 1 outer hinge pin, front stub axles and wheel hub adaptors, and probably front dog bones.

I also am on the lookout for one more nice pair of Pro-Line #1016 Waffle tires (some of you saw my thread on tire choices in the Yokomo forum and helped me out, thanks!). I have located some other choice parts though so this will really come together nicely when it's done I think.

Thanks Reggie, from this list

http://www.customworksrc.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=Older+Kit+Parts%3ADominator+Parts

I think I need (there are no pictures on their site unfortunately so it is a bit of a guess):
  • 2008 MOTOR PLATE / D (quantity 1)
    1100 FRONT HUB / D (quantity 2)
2030 SUSPENSION PIN SET (16) / D (I really only need one outer pin, sucks to buy the whole set but if I have to....)
    7035 FRONT AXLE / D (quantity 2)

Arnie checked on the parts in person-

Yes to all for Adam and Joe in quanities except 2030, but I am sure those are yokomo pins like my Superior SRP-1- just get me a length and I'll find them in my stash-

Also, it's best to not try to order those on line, but rather call directly and shoot them a CC-
they're open till 5 today-
