Re: RC12.5 B4

What are your plans for the transmission? First version ("lazy"): Original B4 with modified motor-plate for a 380size motor as low as possible. Later maybe something a little bit smaller... maybe home-built, maybe with parts of the old stealth (this diff is a little bit smaller) and a new...

RC12.5 B4

]Dear Friends of the RC10 For a long time I was looking for a "good" small buggy. "Good" means to me: - Quality, can handle powerful motors - Looks like a race car, not like a plastic toy - Rear-motor, because mid-motor works good on carpet and astroturf, but not for old-fashione...

Re: Losi Mini-T "1.0" vintage buggy conversion

PETG is slightly different from PET. I don't know the exact difference. For sure it's easier to handle than Lexan, because the temperature range for vacuum forming is uncritical. And it's quite easy and cheap to find. Lexan paint seem to work well. I don't know about the durability (especially compa...

Re: Losi Mini-T "1.0" vintage buggy conversion

What a feeling! Painting for the first time a self made body. Paint for lexan bodies seems to work well.

Re: Losi Mini-T "1.0" vintage buggy conversion

First try has a wrinkle, but I will manage to make better ones. Fits quite well:

Does anybody know if paint for Lexan bodies will work on PET-G?

Re: Losi Mini-T "1.0" vintage buggy conversion

Just about to complete the tool path to mill the mould. I think I will make the mould from MDF. Any hints or comments? Anyway, I'll just give it a try. But first I will have to build a vacuum forming box.

Re: Homemade tub chassis?

Thanks a lot for all your comments and help. It sounds quit complicated. It is possible, for sure, but with a big effort, spending a lot of time testing different materials and treatments. In the next few months I don't have the time to do that, but I will keep all this information in my head... May...

Re: Losi Mini-T "1.0" vintage buggy conversion

Not yet the perfect beauty but it will do it for a while and for testing. The first runs are very promising, handling is much more stable and consistent than the original truck version. It was not a big deal, three parts (chassis, upper deck, upper-deck-to-servo-saver-stiffener-plate) fell out of my...
