Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

That was a nice detailed comparo highlighting the differences between the RC10 pans with facts and firsthand observations azone! Your post made me laugh in a good way--(very neutral, measured, and evidence-based). Thanks for taking time to provide the info and pics dude. The community here appreciat...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

There are numbers in the 7,000's. Someone on YouTube had 7xxx. About the chassis it is certainly thinner and lighter than the original. It's like the CC. I don't have the classic reissue so can't comment on that one. Cool thank you! Someone should put all the RC10 pans side by side and do a detaile...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

So what is the latest 40th serial tracking number so far?
Is the 40th gold pan much lighter/thinner than previous versions?

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

154 sold in 24 hours, glad I bought 100 of them in one go for 41,800.00 dollars. Kidding aside, there were 32 sold in 24 hours early this morning. And I recall the AMain site saying only 13 were left in stock at the time. Later in the afternoon I had an update showing 154 were sold in 24 hours. I re...

Re: Jegs Holeshot truck and Stinger buggy info

If you have the Holeshot how has the experience been so far with this truck? Holding up well and any modifications you recommend? Will be able to finally take it out of storage to take it for a run.

Shootout Comparison: RC10 vs RC10WC vs RC10B4 vs RC10B7D?

In a shootout between different generations of RC10s what is their time difference? Outfitted with similar tires and electronics, on a typical US indoor high traction clay/dirt mix track how would their times compare? Bring on a pro and local driver (who agree on the best setup) and compare their be...

Re: Your top Three Vintage Keepers (by manufacturer)

Lol! I remember that ad, and 129 bucks was indeed cheap in retrospect. Like the overengineered Avante...looking cool is all that matters. I would like to get a TopCat in the future...and a Traxxas TRX-1...love the long simple, futuristic, flowing body.

Re: Your top Three Vintage Keepers (by manufacturer)

You design 3D printed items so, having a stockpile of cars is a requirement. Keep collecting and making! A typical three bedroom apartment for a Japanese family in Tokyo is around 70 sqm (753 sq. ft) ... so easy to run out of space ~ :o I agree having a kid makes me need to reduce my collection...fo...

Your top Three Vintage Keepers (by manufacturer)

Updating an old post: Assuming you limited your vintage collection to only your favorite 3 from any manufacturer what would they be? I figure this could hypothetically limit my collection to less than 20 :). Team Associated: RC10, RC10 Graphite, and RC10B4 Tamiya: Avante, Hotshot, and Astute. Yokomo...

Re: Any tips on reducing a collection

I have the same decluttering problem in 2024. I can downsize by 50% for sure. Advice from the expert “Tidying Up with Marie Kondo". Two main points for creating a plan to organize. 1) Spark Joy: Keep only the things that make you happy or are deeply satisfying. 2) Gratitude: Thank each individu...

Re: Tamiya Blackfoot , Monster Beetle, Mud Blaster, build tips for you

Man, I was just complaining to a friend about the ridiculous amount of bump steer my freshly built re-release Monster Beetle had. Tried your trick of installing the ball studs on the underside of the servo saver and POW! Gone! You've made my day. Kiora! Glad you found it helpful, seems like you mad...

1986 Masami Hirosaka with early RC10 and Wonder Dog Fighter

This was a colored report of the first 1986 EP Off-Road All Japan Championship showcasing the variety of tuned machines from the event. The most satisfying picture in the RC Magazine is a rare picture of a young Masami Hirosaka and his earliest offroad machines. Still a relatively unknown racer, but...
