What year did Associated sell out to Taiwan?

Just curious,

I'm sure someone knows this, but when was the last true "Made in the USA" Associated vehicle made?

I noticed one of the packages of plastic parts I bought a few months ago sported "Made in China" on it when I was restoring/customizing my B2.

Oddly enough, the metal outdrive I bought was still made in the US.

I know it's been awhile since the good old Associated as we know it has been gone, I just was curious as to when & why this went down....It's kinda like Chevy being sold to Korea, or Ford being sold to China or something.

If Thunder Tiger has the company now, wouldn't they have inherited the rights for the tooling for the old aluminum tub series cars?

And where in the heck can we find those cloned parts for our B2 & B3's? All I can find on Ace Hobby's website is the complete RTR's....

I think they only started moving production to China around the time of the B44 release in 2007, so lots of B4's were made in the USA.

Yeah Thunder Tiger have the moulds for the RC10 stuff, they seem to be discontinuing it all though. In an effort to make you buy a new B4 I suppose?
