Am I wiring my esc backwards?

As soon as I touch the wires to the motor it starts spinning at full speed. The battery is plugged in, switch on, and throttle is not being pulled. Am I just switching the motor and battery wires or is something else happening?

I had that same thing happen with a Novak Rooster not long ago, my problems were due to not getting the initial calibration sequence exactly right, on first bind. I had to read my manual on that one.

A fair number of ESCs require that you reverse the throttle channel, so we get used to doing that, but this ESC doesn't.

The manual is here if you need it: https://manuals.plus/m/8c2d8af7f067323270cf50fcb740849387900df962a839864f3262bac044b962

I don't know how to upload the manual, but the important bits are here:

Thanks! The manual was helpful. Took a couple tries but I got it working.
