Mark's T3 dustoff

Hey, so I pulled my #7037 T3 out of the dust bin and I gotta bring it back to life. I was on the brink of selling it as a basket case (pretty sure there was a B movie titled "Basket Case" bitd. Something about a tumor type grown conjoined twin thing......literally in a wicker basket at some point...anyway; google it) or parting it out. However, I feel that would be disrespectful to the legacy.

Hop ups as I recall:

MIP lightened outdrives
Lunsford turnbuckles, hingepins, front axles, kingpins
Aluminum topshaft
Fybrelyte front tower

intresting i was looking for some of those parts for mine too

i just broke a rear hub at the track and tryed to find something better like rpm or alum but looks like no one built one for it

ive got the alum mip top shaft and alum cvd in my b4 and realy like them

Yeah. We'll see how it goes with this one. I've been OCD-ing on my TRX project(s) for so long that this should be a nice break.

This is what I dug out of the garage. The box has a bunch of tires and wheels in it. With the manual and the parts list, this is going to be fun.

Wow, a guy says he's gonna dust off his T3 and then almost 2 years pass before he's like oh yeah I was gonna do that.

So here I am being "that guy" . Uh, I need a diff kit for this thing: Rings, balls, spring, nut, and one internal diff bearing (I hijacked one for the stealth in the LethalWeapon). I'm going E-bay as I haven't had much luck elsewhere. Unless the T4 diff kit will work and they are just not listing it as compatible with the T3.

Worst case you can get a TT Phoenix diff. Not the utmost quality but I believe it would fit in - although I can only recommend you double check my claim... comparing the instruction manuals, at least the bearing sizes, should already give you a good indication of how reliable I am (or not).

I did the same as jimbo but added a pair of TT outdrives for my B3 .
Went together good, and now smooth!

Thanks guys, helpful links you all through out. Not sure why I couldn't find it. Probably something to do with failing to include part number(s) with searches. But just maybe. So I will get this tranny sorted out at some point soon but here it sits in the meantime.

Anybody have a part number for the T3 sport kit MSC servo mounts? I think they are upright style? I would like to mount a Futaba MC 112B and it is too wide to fit in the chassis tray laying flat. It has the servo mounting ears on it and I thought I would give this a shot.
