This past weekend I was racing my CustomWorks sprint car at the local dirt oval track and spotted this car just spanking the field in the Super Stock class against other buggies. Thought you guys would enjoy the pics so I tracked him down and took a few shots.

He bought it just a while back in a group of RC10's for just $50 for the lot. He did just a few tweaks but otherwise he runs it just like he got it. I told him +1 for saving the car and another +1 for racing it!

Sadly the street stock class died out while I was deployed. It's the class I'd like to run my tubs in. My 6 gear ran with them using waffles and did very well. Hoping to get a vintage class going at Victory.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked at this motor and never realized that the word Super is an additional decal on top of the can sticker. Why is this? I’ve seen plenty of Mr. Outlaw motors without it. Is there a difference?...

What is the best chassis for street stock or bomber dirt oval racing and why? I have a World's car that I'm not using, but I also have the potential to buy a NIB B5 for $165. It seems like the B4 has the most aftermarket parts for oval racing...

If it’s the new worlds car, you already have the top shaft to run the modern spurs. You can make an RC10 run with the B4s! Since you picked up the new car, I’d say pick up some factory works or similar towers to mount the big bore shocks!

I came across a nice group of brushed motors from a dirt oval racer and there was a CAM super stock motor with some uniquely cut brushes. The sides were narrowed to allow the face to offset for more timing advance. I think it's really cool! I guess...

There was lots of brush cutting going on back in the day. Several companies sold precut brushes and brush cutting machines were also a thing so you could cut your own. Everything from slotted brushes for more cooling to holes drilled up the center...

I know you guys get variations of this question often. (I've read many many threads). But often the post gets into way more $ and complication than I'm looking for.

I've pulled my original stock RC10 out, interested again cause the neighborhood...

Is there a knock off tire that at least looks similar to the stock RC10 front and rear tires? I'd like to put some new shoes on this BEAUTIFUL box stock car I just got, but I don't want to put 50% of what I spent on the car to go into new tires.
