Rebuilt my old RC10GT (7057)

Well as discussed in other threads, I finally rebuilt my old RC10GT (7057 model). I didn't want to break any of the rare white pieces so I started ordering the Factory truck parts to go with the factory blue chassis I had from years back.

Now it turns out I have enough parts to build a totally new truck lol! Oops... Damn ebay.

Once I get the rest of the bits that are on order I'll post the build pics but here are some starters:

Just a few parts saved up over the years... lol!

Looks killer! 8) I swore off nitro forever, but seeing that after a couple of cold ones really gives me the hankerin' for the rattle of a well tuned mill!

Ok I'm stumped on one part... Does anyone know where I can find a Muffler mount part number 7728?

Hard to find item and no luck so far with the various hobby stores (or flea bay).

Thanks
Tim

Forgot to mention, I picked up a nice new AE .18X motor to put in it and planned to install the back plate and remove the pull start.

The web manual states that you need to cut the crank at 3/8" but it's a typo... They meant 3/16".

Just for future reference in case anyone is converting a .15/.18 motor to non pull start.

Cheers

And of course the SG crank on the .18 won't fit... so that is now on the shelf awaiting a future SC10 Factory Team kit... *sigh*

Then I ordered a nice OS .18 CV-R that is designed for the RC10GT, sure enough when it arrived it dropped right in. Good job OS supporting and old truck!

Now I'm still stuck trying to find that 7728 anywhere in stock... or sitting at the bottom of someone's parts bin!

Cheers

Awesome!!! Many many thanks. I've placed the order, hopefully they did have it in stock lol.

Now I just need Tower to complete the back order for the 7306 servo mounting screw I should have everything. Unless of course someone finds a set in a store somewhere :-)

I'll post some new pics with the motor mounted etc.

Cheers
Tim

If that doesn't pan out for you, I know a collector that might have a nip for you. I'll send you his info. :D

Awesome job guys! The muffler support arrived today from that hobby store and I finally got that mounted, which let me trim my temporary body (Thunder Tiger Phoenix converted over).

Now unfortunately Tower Hobbies has not come through with the servo steering screws that are still back ordered from Thunder Tiger.

So lets try here again, anyone seen a 7306 screw set anywhere? These are the long and short screw that the steering linkage sits on.

Thanks!
Tim

My local hobby shop might still have a few of these hanging on the hooks. Drop me a pm if you don't hear back from me after the weekend...just to get me motivated if I don't get there tomorrow
