RC10 Front Axle Options/Question

Post by mrlexan »

I'll give the vets here yet another opp to give me a hard time, have at it, but SERIOUS question. Did anyone like CRP, etc. make a front axle set for the RC10 that allowed the installation of Kyosho sized/bearing wheels? I know there was a Tamiya bearing option. I have a few nice color Kyosho wheels that I'd love to use on Associated products.

I searched ebay and my stash and haven't seen anything. Thanks in advance.

Jay

i don't believe so. get up with jake, maybe he can mill some stock ones, or the crp ones down so the bearings fit.

bigjeep...... something.

oh, and by the way.........

if CRP didn't even make an axle to allow the use of kyosho wheels on an associated vehicle, then you KNOW it shouldn't be done.

I can only remember one by, I think it was CRP. They're 5mm OD at the bearings, plus they widen the track. They're for the original short arms. If you want them, send me a PM. I've had no use for them for 20+ years.

It's Bigjeepzz. I can also turn some axles down if you have them.

Why don't you want to use the 5mm axle? You just need a different set of bearings to use the rims you are talking about right?

Kyosho's are 4 x 8 mm. Tamiya's are 5 x 11 mm.

well, then he should just get 5x8 bearings. i thought there was a problem with the o.d. of the bearing being an odd size. a discussion like this came up awhile back.
