The RC10 that started it all for me

Post by Snake Plissken »

This is the car that pushed me into the vintage RC10 scene. It's not mine, hence why it's not posted in readers rides. The pics are from an old ebay sale (about two years ago). If I remember correctly, it's from an ebay seller called soulglow –I have followed several of his sales and he appears to be among the best out there with clear pics and description of the items and very good feedbacks. I was browsing ebay at the time looking for vintage Tamiyas and stumbled on this auction. I was really impressed with the car and decided to bid on it. Since I wasn't too sure (enthusiasm took time to build..) I didn't bid too high and lost the auction at the end (another TC member won it as I remember he posted it in his showroom later). But this car started something and I eventually ended with 2 RC10s (one is my brother's who also got sucked in).
One of the things that impressed me the most was how it was build from different parts, some from third party manufacturers but it still looked solid. I also liked the body (nice idea with the nets at the windows ) and the 2.2'' wheels & tires.
Anyway after building my enthusiasm and researching for a while I got myself a worlds car. I also managed to obtain locally some parts that made the backbone of my brother's RC10 build. Anyway, here are the pics, I wonder if you'll see what I see in this car.

I see it. The 1st edition MIP gearbox, Twister motor, Hot Trick Transmission brace and 'Wide Foot' front end, are what do it for me :D

Now that car looks like you could take it out and just thrash the devil out of it. I have had a few dealing with Soul and he is as stand-up as they get.
He's an idiot. Comes from upbringing. His parents are probably idiots too.

^^^^^^You'll be the first to know when they arrive and I sort things out. Please bear in mind I am moving house next week and also will be going abroad at the end of the month. Just thought I'd give you prior warning as depending on when the parts arrive, will depend on how quickely I can send them out to you.

I got 4 red kyosho shocks, 2 rears of identic size, but the front ones are 2 different sizes (the housing not the axles). If you'd happen to have one left-over let me know please.
