well it was yesterday
after it being a garden ornament for two years i started to fix my jeep , spent sat cutting out the old floor well the floor was old road signs screwed to rusty cornflakes the fuel tank was strapped behind the seat and had more holes than the floor . someone had the bright idea that a v8 was better than a straight four so long term it will get a vw tdi i have some large sheets of alloy checker plate for the sides and will be making custom under seat lockers im still on the fence weather to put a bikini top on it or not it depends on weather it will fit under the roll cage (which was bolted to to the road sign floor . i am hoping to get all this done for the summer

This one or next? Seems like a pretty ambitious project to have done in a couple of months. That is, unless you've quit your day job to devote all your time to the jeep.treehugger wrote: i am hoping to get all this done for the summer

You know, I have never thought about the concept of putting a diesel in a Jeep before. I think it would be really cool to have one with an old Chevy 6.5 in it.

Re: started the jeep today
looks like a cj5 so a even a stock 4 would be ok.... i dont understand why people dont run a newer jeep 4 or straight 6...someone had the bright idea that a v8 was better than a straight four so long term it will get a vw tdi

The irony of something developed in WW II would be powered by a piece of German engineering
