Hey guys,

I just wanted to thank the RC10Talk crew for coming down/up, depending on where you live... I got to know a lot of you a bit more this time around, Jeff, Bscotti, Anthony, Brandon, Mark, Ryan, Jason, Scott what a bunch of cool and humble guys, we had fun all weekend long, swapping R/C stories, talking racing strategies (keep it on all 4s ), All around good times.

Hope you guys make it next year also, RC10talk was represented very well at the VONATs this year.

Congrats...

Had a great time again at the vintage nats. All the guys put on a great, organized show.

I had way less than $100 into my Losi XX but that was some of the most fun racing I've ever had. That was my first time racing a 2wd buggy but it definitely won't be my last. The Wild Child was a beast out there.

My King Cab went better than expected, I always wanted to race one since I had one back when I was 13 years old and finally got the chance. I was really surprised I did not break a single part on it for five qualifiers and a main.

That Classics A-Main was awesome to watch, congrats to both you guys! Hopefully I'll be joining you in that class next year.

Cannot wait till next year!

PS: I-84 sucks

great time...

for some reason i got a feather up my hiney and drove the complete trip back right after it was all done...
i made it in about 14 hours i think, got a speeding ticket at the ohio/indiana border, and even hand washed the precious when i got home.
i've been up now for about 26 hours i think...

that being said, i'm exhausted and a little slap happy at this point... i'll upload the rest of my pics when i wake up sometime in the afternoon but with my crappy little camera it was hard as heck to get anything decent. i do have a good one (or two or three) of anthony trying to do a backflip with his lunchbox.

I had a very fun time. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, I didn't hear any of the usual yelling at turn marshals like I do with most races. I learned a lot this year and met a great bunch of guys and ladies. SPECIAL thanks to Freddy's wife for feeding us some yummy chicken and rice on Saturday night. I'll be back for sure, and Brandon and I are going to recruit a few more drivers from TN next year.

Mark and the whole crew at RCHR, you guys ran an awesome race. Thanks for the setup, next year I won't get nervous.

Kyle, you're one fast racer, you kept your cool in the main and ran a great race. Congrats on the win.

Time for me to go to bed!!
Mark

Aaaaahhhh crap! I'm about to get passed by that orange truck!

Great race weekend (People, track and cars)
Maybe next year I'll have a vintage car ready to go.

Only suggestion for next year is to slow Kyle down by giving him a stick radio.

What an awesome event! Looks like everyone had a great time. I really enjoyed watching the video of the classic A main. I'm wondering what motor the winning Frog was running?

Thanks,
Steve

Brandon's Frog was running a stock brushed 27 turn motor, I believe a CO27 from Trinity. It was nasty fast though, I drove it for a qualifier.

Good run Freddy! I was cheering you and Brandon on!

Thanks Mark,

You and I were in a bit of a battle for a while in the Main, as a matter of fact, we battled through out the whole weekend. It was a real good time all around, 2wd was definitely the Elite class at the VONATs, as you said, I'm glad I made the A-main this year, and was in play for a top five finish, oh well, maybe next year...

Hey Scr8p,

I got some, not so good pictures in my photobucket album that I posted a couple of pages back, if you want to check em out.

But I'm sure there are a lot more pictures of the winners.

Here's a funny story,
When I saw Jason, I said to myself, Did Scr8p come down after all?? I wasn't sure it was even him, that's why when I was saying "Hello" to everyone, I mumbled his name just in case it wasn't him....
