I just followed your link. Your power supply has all black wires. In my experience (admittedly long ago) PC power supplies used standardized coloring for all wires, such as:

Well, the postman looked A LOT like my brother today! He brought me my original, childhood Tamiya Blackfoot from like 1992. Original box, paperwork and all. He's been hoarding it in his basement with his RCs for quite a few years and gave it back to me today. I never really had much interest in bringing it back to life until I joined this forum so I owe a big THANK YOU to all of you that participate here and provide motivation. It's got the Tamiya oil-filled shock upgrade (and I think I know where the 4th one is in my own RC hoard), rear aluminum hubs, upgraded dog bones/axles and IIRC a Thorp diff or gearset. I'll start a thread when I get around to working on it, have some things on the list that need attention first.

Very nice! This thread might be a good place for some additional Blackfoot inspiration:

Finally upgraded to a high end radio, been a fan of RadioLink for a few years now - just got the RC8X. More menu options than I will ever understand or need.

My pair of NOS chassis arrived in an inside out TC7.2 box. The chassis flatness isn't perfect, but it's good enough and not shipping damage. The gold color is lighter than I expected.

Wish I knew you were in the market for one. I've got one that's been disassembled on my bench for a number of years because I decided to go brushless after I got it.

G motors have the same palpable sensation produced by fireworks. You'll hear and feel them.

Also, received a few more parts to build my Ultima GT5.

Got a sweet batch of motors from a factory backed dirt oval racer! All the bagged motors were factory rebuilt in 1990, ready to race.

Got this super cool RC10LS with box, manual and Tekin ESC…

Body seems to be an original (brush painted  ) ae body. Not sure what it’s called though.
Nice condition but not too nice to not run it. The only not factory part I can spot is the FRP/graphite bottom plate of the pod.

Plan is to do a quick resto to original condition, doing some detailing on the body and adding a Reedy Sonic to match the paint scheme, if I can find one 8)

Not sure if I‘ll start a thread on this…

Very nice! The motor in there definitely has to go. From the stickers on the chassis, it looks like a Reedy Mr. series motor would also be a good choice.
