Just the chassis set to come next week then the fun begins
What's going on here with all this goodness? Looks a bundle of joy.
Look back a couple of pages (285) and you’ll see the rest of it😜

Looks like someone is getting a new cat, I mean CAT. Build thread! Build thread! Build thread!

If UPS shows up, I am getting a couple of Top Cat bodies, Cougar bodies, an extra wing, carbon towers for the Cougar I am never going to get, and a few misc spare suspension parts I will never need because even I can't crash a car I don't have.
Hope your turns up soon, just finished building this up out of my parts bin for an outdoor runner

The best thing about wasted money is that you can always make more.

Recovering missed opportunities for fun is harder to do.

Nice day for deliveries today.... got the following, thanks to my good mates Jason and Richard:
Delivery.jpg
- Rebuilt D5 Flatliner, low (single digit) turns, and tested to a whopping 47,600 rpm, with a trio of extra armatures (7x2, 8x2, 9x1)
- Rebuilt Novak Super Sport + brushless ESC (almost vintage now!)
- TEU-101BK, TEU-104BK, and TBLE-02S Tamiya ESCs
- Replacement wing mounts for my Cougar KR
- Usable Hotshot gold wheels for my Mini Mustang project

Big thanks to these guys.... great stuff for me to play with! Now, though, got more work to do!

Alex

Got three Tamiya motors: BZ, RZ, and Dirt-Tuned (I already have the TZ, Lightly-, Sport-, Torque-, and another Dirt-Tuned).

I also got this tiny Wera driver handle, for 1/4" bits or as a nut driver.

I like the Dirt-Tuned motor for use with vintage esc's, as it is only 27T and 10°.

The only real difference I've found in the BZ, RZ, and TZ is that the RZ has laydown brushes. The TZ just looks like a BZ endbell on a chrome RZ can, with a slightly different label. All three are 23T and 20°.

I got a NIP AristoCraft / HiTec ESC for my Bolink Round Tracker build. The largest mass-produced ESC I have ever seen! Pulled out the biggest Novak I had in the stash for comparison.

Looks to be comparably sized to a Novak Rooster or Tekin Rebel, both are huge.

Close. A Rooster is 1.63" x 2.02", and this guy comes in at 1.62" x 2.41". I thought for sure there would not be enough room in the inn for this guy, but remembered it was BEC so that frees up quite a bit of space.

The very early ESC's with the mechanical relay were huge , my first ESC (Downsway Turbo Relay) must have been 2" by 1.5" by 1" high , I baught it for my HotShot but it just did not fit in the stock chassis !

I've been looking over a coffin chassis that has had a lot of modification done to it I'm still keeping it in mind, but some of it's flaws are beyond fixing. It was good enough though to have some key measurements taken from to have this replica made. Primary difference is this needs a nose plate added to it and will use nose tubes with GT brackets.

Got a couple more Duratrax motors, some MIP bits, and a adapter for using Wiha mini-bits with a standard handle.

The 2WD and Monster Truck motors must be the most common. They seem to be the only ones that I find.

I seen a 4WD version a while back but it looked like garbage.
