Re: Local consignment score
A very nice job of resurrecting this car Rich! I stopped in at a few thrift stores down here in my area today and couldn't even find cheap "toys 'r' us/radio shack" type cars, let alone hobby shop quality ones.... Nice find indeed!!

Are there nice Hobby Shops in Temecula? Have you been over to Hobby Central in SD? They still have some old crap still hidden away.

Re: Local consignment score
I didn't know of Hobby Central. I used to race at a shop with an outdoor offroad track in SD in the mid 90's off the 52 fwy. I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. They have since moved down Convoy St. a little ways and longer do the offroad stuff....
Today I just browsed through shrift shops in Escondido because my parents live down there and thats all that was close. As far as Temecula goes, we only have a Hobby Town and a Hobby People. Same for the Escondido area actually. For non-franchise hobby shops I usually go to Pegasus since it's close to my brothers house in San Dimas....

No, I will not help you with your dorky short course truck…sorry, it’s against my religion. If it's not a 1/10 scale buggy...I don't care.
