A couple of updates to this buggy. I added a NIP Trinity rear arm carrier, and mounted a new D2 motor. I am still looking for a Trinity servo mount.

It’s a very nice car, but personally I find those black rims really ugly.

Hi there

I'm thinking the rear squat blocks are on the wrong sides but maybe you know this and just wanted to use the blue brace? Nice xx4 anyway.

cheers

Yes, they are mounted that way to reduce the extreme toe in they create otherwise. Everything lined up much nicer this way, and looks cleaner for the shelf. It also allows me to keep the rear Trinity brace, as you noted. I really have grown to love this build, ugly wheels and all.

Small update - I finally found a correct, early style graphite rear tower. The difference is small, but I am glad to have it. The early version has fewer ball stud holes. Also, the GRAPHITE lettering on this piece is much cleaner and straighter than the previous one.

I also added new front arms with the large silver GRAPHITE lettering. I didn't realize until I was installing them that their lettering is on the back of the arms, instead of the front like the units I replaced. I prefer having it on the front, but the back side is early style, and correct for this car.

I also swapped over to a set of yellow wheels. I am not sure if I like them better than the black or not?

I like the blue and yellow together myself if that helps. Was always a strong Suzuki supporter in the RM series of bikes so blue and yellow always went together for me 8)

One of the last details I have wanted to correct is finding new top plates with the early style silver GRAPHITE lettering. I had previously taken a silver sharpie to the white lettering of the first top plates, but the font is also different. It is a very small detail, but that's what counts on these types of builds, right?

I still need to find a pair of graphite rear arms with the early lettering.

Your builds are just awesome
Ps : prefer the yellow too
Will you build an other xx4 with all the duplicate parts?

Great build dood, love the early period parts on this, makes it more unique than the WC edition they did later on.

Thanks Jamin!

It's like a ghost town in here. We need another mouth watering build from you to get things going again.

I just got these Dragon rear wing mounts. I know they are likely not period correct for this early period build, but I couldn't resist. I think they fit in well. Thoughts?

I still need to get my non hot weather body painted. This thing should look once it has a proper body.
