i would assume the cva problem would be fixed with proper shimming of the axles and limiters in the shocks.

the axles are the same execpt for their lengths, and use the same knuckle. use the wide ones that come in the kit for b4 wheels, the 6220 axles for rc10, b2, b3 wheels.

Thanks bro....
I was looking on line earlier, trying to figure it out, and assumed it was that part# ...6220.....
I was gonna go order em on Tower, and then I see on their website it says you "MUST" use them with steering block# 2321 which is different than the part # (6225) in the manual......so that threw me off.
Looks like they're trying to bamboozle a brother to buy more parts.

Which is weird ^^ because you can get 6220 in either blue or aluminum....The blue says it's compatible with rc10,b2,b3 etc.....but the aluminum(silver) has no mention about comparability ,just mentions that you need part 6225......so if you're someone like me, without any experience on the subject. , you're left scratching your head....(especially if you prefer the silver)
Eh, the blue's probably better anyway....

Thanks again for the info.

I'm slowly getting it

because of the re-releases, a lot of part numbers have been changed around, but they're esentially the same part.

......the CVAs, not that I know what I'm talking about, but they just seem too short....
They have the one blue aluminum spacer on the outside which is a bit thicker than the 3 thin silver ones on the inside....n that blue spacer is tight with the pin.So even if I took that out and shimmed the inside further, I'd probably only get 1/16 of an inch....which I guess would work with the shock limiters to get it in a lil further, but it would still probably leave zero room for adjustability......
The way they are now, if you tried to move the shocks one slot over on the rear arms, I don't even think the CVAs would reach the outdrive......

Edit: I don't know what I'm talkin' about.....
After further inspection, yeah.....I think the shock limiters alone will do the trick.

I'm getting tired of chipping my jc wheels on two of my gold tubs (not the wheels fault!!) ....so on one of em, I wanna change to the 3/16" CVAs so I can run the standard worlds car wheels....
Can I do it with just different bearings....do I need a worlds hub carrier??....
Basically what do I need??

This is the one I wanna switch em on........a good ol' vintage beater. Waterproofed n 3s'ed out, taking the subjection of abuse like a true champ.

i'm going to assume that you have the standard buggy hub carriers, so all you need would be 4 of these (see link). if you have the tuck style, they would be the same size just not flanged.

http://www.avidrc.com/product/1/bearings/88/316-x-38-x-18-Flanged-Metal-FR166ZZ-bearings.html

then just pick up a set of mip cvd's for the b3.

Why not just drill the axle hole to 3/16" ?
I was old school - when old school wasn't cool !

Thanks.....

I have an extra set of the 3/16" CVAs I picked up for my worlds car, so I guess I'm good to go :D
I guess it's time for a nice $1 bearing order....

Ah man.....this now opens up another problem....I think...
3/16" white dish wheels are no problem for the back.....it's the fronts...
Does associated have any white dish wheels that will fit the front?? ....Or are the thunder tiger ones I've seen mentioned on here the only options?? ( saw a couple guys on here say they were kinda weak in quality)
Eh, I guess I can get the worlds car fronts n dye dye both sets black....

On another note, I don't get why associated has a front wheel conversion kit specifically for the rc10 n they make it in black instead of white.

......thanks again for the info
