Yep, Victor speedo, havent tested it yet. Kyosho gold longs on all 4 corners (very smooth still as well). The small 380 can was a 10.5 wicked fast with it as well. IF i replace this battery box (not planning on it), it will go into a bag of "early" JRX parts, in case another early car crosses my path and needs one. Plan right now is just to put a spacer underneath, I would NOT grind that cup to fit a lipo. I would also never grind a lipo case!

Yes, cut the tires. For the fronts, I cut them "with" the tread, removed a small section and glued them back together, made them narrow. For the rear, I cut them "across" the tread, removed a small section to make them smaller (to fit the 2.0 wheels). The rear tires are shorter than they used to be and the front tires are much narrower than they used to be.
Yes, I bolted up my white JR2 wheels, the hot red 5 spoke JRX2 wheels just didnt work with the orange paint job
The Victor speedo turned out to not work, as soon as it sends power to the motor, it cuts the power to the receiver and I get a brown out. Sounds like the BEC circuit it burnt up.
I still have more work to do, MIP steering for one but taking my time, the rush to hit the track has hit a snag, called Christmas shopping.

How are they not going to come apart once you start running? I can't see CA holding them together

Tell that to Brian Kinwald. The big timers have been doing it forever. They hold just fine

Looks gorgeous JK. Loving the wheels and tires. even the front ones. Beautiful body...im a fan of no wing myself..makes car look sleeker imo.
Glad to be back in this hobby so many many years later. To see new things and to recollect on ALL cool vintage models!

I will have a wing on there, just this body doesnt have the wing holes popped in there yet When I get the correct body, it will probably get the white/yellow/purple/black like my new Re-Re racer. I love my orange, but I kinda like the old school colors/design I did on that car.

Not much different that before I tossed shocks/wheels/body on it setting some electronics on there to get a feel for how I may lay it out. Until after the holidays, it will be brushed, then it will be transformed into brushless

Wow...there's something you don't see every day! Nice job, I don't think I'd attempt it myself, though...I have a tough enough time just gluing tires to wheels.
