Traxxas classified it as a 1/10 scale but pix tell the story don't they  ...To me sitting next to my 1/8 scale OFNA hyper7 it is relatively the same size...I'm thinkin someone at traxxas was sippin a little of Halgar's irish coffee when they classified the slash size

But look at the Wheels Bases (F to R, L to R), its about the same as the ST beside it. Hecl look at JKs Avatar. If I remember correctly/vaguely, isnt it a Buggy or ST, with a "Slash Type" (cant believe I cant think of the CORRECT term for that type truck  ) Body on it?

My avatar is a Losi Heavy Metal Truck body on the XX4 buggy. Yes, it is quite a bit smaller than the Slash.

But I am on Monsters side, take the body off the Slash and set it on top of any Stadium Truck. I've been more than half tempted to lengthen the chassis on my 10T, narrow up the side to side and put some Slash tires & body on it. Wouldn't be that hard at all.

i've never understood how or what part of the car they determined the scale by, is it the body or the wheelbase? to me the 10th scale stadium truck or the 8th scale buggy never really meant anything besides just putting them in a general category.

when i first saw a picture online i wasnt too into the slash. but seeing it in person changed my opinion...
a couple guys had them at the vintage nats and they had alot of fun with them, and i think racing them would be a ton of fun since you can be a little more carefree and not worry constantly about contact with another vehicle.

The Slash body fits right on an 1/8 buggy no mods other than mounts. I started to build a brushless one with a Hyper 7, got it to brushless part look at the price, sold it and just bought the Slash it was cheaper.

My kid has not noticed it yet on my work table. Hopefully he does not want a slash over the Mini-T I got for him off of buy\sell on here..

The Slash will be more user friendly and durable than a Mini T. My son has taken his full speed into a brick wall more than once already. Scratched up the body a bit. I am tempted to put the speedo into Trainer mode for him, but I know he will be screaming about why his truck is so slow.

Your son has a couple years on mine  This is for playing around inside the house until spring....I specifically wanted a Mini-T as it uses the 4 AA batteries for power....I even ordered a 2nd battery holder so I could charge 1 while the other is in the truck. I got a TON of energizer rechargeable AA's.....
