Doing a JRX2 rebuild, Need help on these parts...
So I came across these image on the net, can anyone tell me a few things about the following...
1. What style axles are those? From what I see on the net it looks like XX axles, if so are they a direct fit?
2. Any idea who made the rear toe adjustment part? It looks killer.
3. The RPM arms, part #? And I assume VERY hard to find?
Thanks for the help!
Josh

Adjustable toe kit is by Robinson racing, it's called a tracker
I see the rpm links from time to time but they are almost always the .050 toe in versions. With the tracker kit it would be fine but you only get two
I think the dogbone kit was MIP
Rpm .050 toe carpet links 7301
Rpm wide truck links 7305 (eBay http://bit.ly/19605Kz)
Rpm heavy duty replacement arms 7300

No 5 Link for your rebuild?
I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

Nice Jrx you have there.. I also see an RPM gear cover and some aftermarket shock cartridges.. I like the purple annodized motor plate.. I would love to see more of your car.. how about posting up some pics of the whole car?

I've got several sets of those dog bones but don't have any of the out drives that allow them to work with the lrm gearbox. Does anyone know what the part number for them is?

If looking for part numbers for some of the stuff in the pictures you can go here on vintagelosi.com

The bones are probably the MB-100 from MIP listed on that page, the Tracker is also shown there.
http://sabulatech.com/storefront/product.php?id_product=1837 is the longer LXT version of the bones
I have the MB100 on my test 5 Link mule right now and I had to put more shock limiters on the out side portion of the shock shaft to prevent the bones from hitting the top of the outdrives under full shock compression. The newer style shock cartridges are probably the reason.

Great site! Also glad to see that you are from the same state...I race at Tea's in Rochester during the winter months.
So I am brand new to the vintage losi's. If I have the JRX2 and want to run CVD's or these axles, what do I have to do? Are these MB-100 a direct fit? I have the stock JRX2 that has the big boy toys sprint car conversion.
Thanks for the help everyone, great resources.

Never noticed where you guys are, I'm in Eden Prairie 4+ times a year. I should pack a car from now on whenever I have to go out there.

Charlie at Teas is great, he has seen the magnetic strip on my credit card too much. I actually set up the hobby store for them years ago when it first opened. I needed a place to spray paint a pinball machine and I offered to setup the store while waiting for coats of paint to dry. They had so much work getting the hot rod seat business up and running after the move that they just had no time for the hobby store.xxx2fast4u wrote:Great site! I don't really do dirt oval much so you won't see me there very often in the winter months. I think it has been 2 years since I last ran oval.
The MB100 is pretty much a direct fit. Like I was mentioning before, the only issue might be shock compression and the angle of the bones under full compression.
Well Teas is over an hour away from Eden Prairie in Chester. So you may not want to start packing your RC stuff just yet.knixdad wrote:Never noticed where you guys are, I'm in Eden Prairie 4+ times a year. I should pack a car from now on whenever I have to go out there.

Re: Doing a JRX2 rebuild, Need help on these parts...
Believe me, I have absolutely nothing to do when I am out there. Driving an hour to bomb around a track is way better than rotting in the hotel like I usually do. I can only pack so many repair projects and most hotels frown on painting in the room. They usually think I am huffing paint when they catch me.

Knixdad, Teas is a great track that you have to visit at least once. They have a indoor oval for winter racing and then during the summer they have a outdoor oval and offroad track.
Also in the cities you can visit MMR which is a indoor carpet track that runs oval/road-course/off-road.
Let me know if you have any questions when you come to visit next.
