Clod project "Excaliber"
Hey everybody. Just thought I would share my latest project that is nearing completion. I wanted to build a stockish Clod but with a theme. A friend over on Clodtalk gave me some ideas and The first "Excaliber" MT came about. Well after months of gathering parts and some body work this is where it sits now.
This is a picture of the 1:1.
I hope you like...

I'm not familiar with this truck but I understand it needs 2 battery to run the two motors.
Is it possible to use 1 battery (using harness) without any issue?

Re: Clod project "Excaliber"
stock clods only needed one battery pack to run. There was a switch that you could change the motors to run series and parallel. Series for torque, parallel for speed. OR, if you are sick like we are, you rewire the switch so you can run two batteries, either two in parallel for run time, or in series for 14.4v of tire flexing SPEED!!!
I miss the clod, I need to get one sometime.

Yep, You can run just one battery with the EVX-2 ESC. I use a pig tail on the none BEC side and plug the battery into the other connector. I have ran two batteries on this set up in my other Clod, but the motors get super hot. Two 2S lipos are just two much for the stock silver cans. It is crazy fast though in this configuration.

It came out great Jeff, I saw it on Clodtalk but thought I would give ya props here anyway.
Smooth clean look, I would run a pair of lipos through it anyway!

Yes! I use to run 2 batteries in a Dagger that way. The thing that really stuck out, aside from the speed, was the sound of the 2 540 singing together!SFC K wrote:I have ran two batteries on this set up in my other Clod, but the motors get super hot.

pig tail on the none BEC side? i'm quite clueless about thisSFC K wrote:Yep, You can run just one battery with the EVX-2 ESC. If budget will not be an issue, I will install higher motor turn to gain torque and less speed (35t)
