3rd Channel Light Device?

i want to add some "working" headlights to my car.
i plan to add some RAM aluminum headlights, which are:

Is there any way, to activate these remotely using a 3rd channel device?

Ive Been racking my brain, looking at robot building sites, airplane devices, etc etc, i can seem to find anything that would do it specifically.

Any ideas?

just to add too i know i can wire these directly into the reciever to just work, but i want to be able to make some sort of device that i can shut them on and off.

What about taking a servo, double side taping it to a switch, then take and old servo saver and hollow out to fit over it, when the servo moves back in fourth, flip on and off the switch. Just a thought

i was actually thinking about making something like that with a micro servo, and building some sort of on/off metal contact on top,

basically gluing a small peice of flat plastic on top, and putting a flat screw in it with a + wire, then the top of the arm will have a folded peice of metal acting as a brush and when i turn the 3rd channel the metal will contact the screw turning it on.

Not sure if any of that made sense but it makes sense in my head lol.

Im gonna think about a switch setup all night now lol

dude there has gotta be some kinda little relay or tamiya semi-device that would be easier and less bulky than a microswitch activated by a servo.

see now im looking at that device, and either im dumb or it just isnt clear to me if that will actually do what i need it to do.

I wired up some lights on my RC-18, switched remotely, it is really easy to do.
Use the internal circiut board from a servo as a switch.
Solder 2 resistors across the leads to the potentiometer, or just ca the pot at neutral. wire up your lights to the output for the servo motor and there you have it.

I am using LED, so they do not take much power. I set the end points on my third channel to only allow "travel" in one direction to prevent reverse voltage to the LED. If you are using standard bulbs this is probably not necessary. Using the EPA in the other direction will allow a bit of brightness control.
