I hear that! I've gathered up parts with the original intent of building a box art car, but then looking at how far some of the guys have taken them - I just realized that I would just have ended up building a mediocre copy.
I picked up my RC10 from the LHS on Saturday. I happened to be in on Thursday and saw that they had got them in. I wasn't able to pick it up that day due to the fact that I was only in the city for work. It was like being 12 years old and waiting...

I called AE tech support. They are not aware of a problem (or at least the tech I spoke with). I am going to email them the pictures. I will pick up the 6466 kit when I get the bearings for it.
I had the idea to make a mid motored Rc10 without having to drill holes in the chassis or cutting the sidewalls. I noticed that the holes lined up and wondered if it would work. It doesn’t really clear the motor so I am worried about shorting...

I recall seeing a video (or maybe it was series of photos) showing the manufacturing process for these tubs. They are die cut and formed in a press, then they go to a machine that drills and countersinks the holes, then they go...
