Thanks, I found it. I just needed Adobe Flash. I can't get enough of your video and how good the car looks on the track. It has inspired me to get more work done on my runner!Niki wrote:How about this one...?

Re: NIX91 Racer discussion thread.
This will be my starting set up: (just waiting for the snow to melt and the track to open)
My starting setup is based mostly off Niki's original setup, with a little tweak by me for my local track. My local track is clay loam mix. When wet or damp Losi silver step pins work well, but for the most part the track is damp to dry and Proline Holeshot M3's are used the most. Proline M3 4 rib on the front, M3 Holeshot 2wd front's work also. During a large event the track will blue groove on the racing line and is very rough, as it will chunk and breakup in spots.
Track: RC Gears (out door) Calgary
NIX91 setup
Front:
AE 30wt oil, #1 piston, 1/8th limiters, AE Brown springs
Shock mount upper: 3rd hole from inside (#3)
Camber link: Standard hole, 0 degree
Bump steer washers: 2
Ride height: 24mm
Front bulkhead: 25 deg
Wheels: Narrowed B4
Tires: Losi 4 rib A7202 silver
Rear:
AE 25wt oil, #1 piston, 1/8th limiter, AE Green springs
Shock mount upper: Inside (#1)
Shock mount lower: Center (#2)
Camber link: under wing tube (ASC6365 classic rear hub), -2.0 degrees
Arm mount: NIX91-001 (1.5deg toe-in/side & 3deg anti-squat)
Ride height: 24mm
Wheels: AE rere Worlds 6805
Tires: Proline Holeshot M3 (Losi Step Pin shown)
Running Weight: 1483g (no extra weight added at this time)
Motor: LRP 10.5T
Gearing: 21 pinion 81 spur.
ESC: LRP Stock Spec
Battery: Reedy 5500
Servo: Futaba S9550
Radio: Futaba 4PK-R

Re: NIX91 Racer discussion thread.
For those who want to race with modern 38mm wide B4/B5 hex wheels, this setup makes it possible:
#9696 or #9695 wheel (or compatible hex wheel)
SC10/T4.1 hex adapter (JC2081 or similar 9mm wide hex)
#7935 bearing .187x.50x.196
#7933 axle spacer crush tube
NIX63652 hub (http://shpws.me/H1BS)
#3977 bearing 3/16"x3/8"
#9756 B44 CVA kit (CVA bone #9754)
This setup works in a standard arm RC10 also.

Re: NIX91 Racer discussion thread.
New race arm versions. More rigid geometry.
Mark tested new caster block and rear hub tuning options. These new arms makes it possible without cutting parts.

Re: NIX91 Racer discussion thread.
Mark, let us know, would like to start swapping my B5 hex wheels with my RC10s. Save me from doubling up on wheels and tires

Re: NIX91 Racer discussion thread.
Still need to pick up a full set of arms and work on the B5 rear 'conversion'...but here it is. Currently #2 pistons all around, 32.5 front, 30 rear, green big bore springs all around (understood these will change). Felt good/quick in front of the house. Cant wait to get some track time with it.

What are you guys coming in at weight? I dont want to move to a full size pack, so me and the lead fairy are gonna have to talk.

Mine is 1450g with a 5000 pack. Although I haven't bought a transponder yet, because I'm cheap and just got into racing

Re: NIX91 Racer discussion thread.
Looks good Mark and Alex!
I made a new rear tower design and used B5M wing mounts
Wing can be mounted lower and it doesn't change angle in a crash.
Last year one final was ruined when someone jumped on top of my car. Wing pointing 30 degrees down isn't fun... specially when racing.

Re: NIX91 Racer discussion thread.
Updated "Race" assembly.
New lower chassis (NIX91-040) will be stronger now around rear arm mount screws.
Rear arm mounts needed an update also as those old ones can not be compatible with new chassis version. New codes are NIX91-320...321...322...323. Check out the drawing below. In all other ways new lower chassis 040 is compatible with old chassis 021.
