Fresh RC10T Racer

Post by Charlie don't surf »

So I go check out this new "local" indoor track http://www.candcrc.com/ ( fast 26 sec mod truck laps) and I'm just blown away--I also run into a old teammate from a few years back. So I stay and watch the action
talk to a few of the faster guys, see what tires are working etc.....Get up the next day and immediately go to my "not so local" HS and drop what a new FTT4.1 would cost in parts to build a
new 10T

Here she is for now, I think I am going to leave it in my 'Trademark' etched tub- More to come after
I slick off more compounds of tires

Panther makes 2.2 size slicks. I don't care for how theirs look but I don't know of anybody else who still makes them. I like the old style ones that looked kind of balloony.

The JConcepts PN# is 0005, and they are B4 wing mounts set through the top holes in the RPM rear bulkhead with a 4/40 screw, and Lowgear is like the 5th person to mention the Panther slicks, but they have no real "racey" or sticky compounds- so I make my own.

Also I decided on my other vintage racer to look more like the 10T http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=16430&p=172441#p172441

wanted to see the B4 wing mount set up, looking very cool. I plan on doing something different with the other 10T I have coming in the mail. What did you do to strip it, Bead blast or liquid?

Looks like an awesome facility. Looks like you’ll need plenty of speed on that front stretch. What are the rules? They might be posted on the site. I didn’t look that far. With that much high speed involved I wouldn’t skimp on batteries. Go with SMC or Maxamps. Otherwise you’ll save a few bucks, but might be disappointed. You probably know all this, but I’m an vacation and bored…

Thumbs Thumbs Thumbs- You post whoring to catch up with Halgar?

They are running Mod Truck, and SS ( 13.5 ) Truck. The track has tons of bite as far as I could tell, and I am running a 6.5 in Mod with SMC 4500 Sport Max Lipo's, now the deal is with mod all the add'l "c" rating like 40c, just adds more heat and then I have to run less gear so the 28c sportmax's actually run better overall in the 10min main 8)
